Struggling...Need help
Hi Amy, I'm sorry if I was preachy...you didn't say they weren't at your house at first. You definitely have a harder time at other peoples houses because usually there is a person on the other end of the food pushing it at you so not only do you have to resist the temptation you have to not hurt someone's feelings.
Melissa's protein bar idea is very good. I always keep a 'Molly bag' in my car with an assortment of things for me to eat safely. Different protein bars, extra chewable vitamins so I don't forget, a few pouches of tuna, half-cup portions of Kashi Go Lean, some shelf-stable jello's and puddings, a few empty Starbuck's bottles with different flavors of Nectar proteins ready to mix with water and ALWAYS some Dover sugar free chocolates. I may be dieting the rest of my life but it ain't gonna happen without my chocolate! This assortment always keeps me covered whether I need something liquid, protein or sweet.
I haven't tried them yet because of my paranoia of wheat products but how about those 100 cal. snack packs that are everywhere now? Easily portable and certainly looking like what everybody else sits around and muches.
hum, I thought I was the only one having this problem. I think your husband is right, during the week take to work what we are going to eat and that's it. Weekends are a problem, do we need to start packing lunch bags for the weekends too? That would be too funny, I think that give ouserlves a little freedom on the weekend is not going to affect us, just be accountable for what you eat and it should get better.
