What did ya eat today - Wednesday?
Hi Kids.. how has our Wednesday been? I am feeling mucho bettero and back to my old self thank goodness. Was able to do my 2 mile run pretty effortlessly and some weights and ab crunches.. feels good to get back in the swing of things.. sigh of relief! Thanks for all your well wishes. I am finding that fiber keeps you even more content and I am fighting to get to 900-1000 calories now.. and actually needing some protein drinks to get my protein where i needs to be.. funny how that is. But I found a protein drink that I am in love with and highly recommend it if you still drink them. It is the EAS cafe caramel ready to drink. It is hard to find in the stores. You can order them from their website eas.com. They are 10 percent off a case and free shipping good deal. 110 cals, 17 proteins. If you like coffee drinks which I love.. then its worth it. They do have a touch of caffeine in them but its minute.
B: 1 cup kashi go lean, 15 blueberries, 1/3 cup vanilla soy milk
L: 1 whole grain tortilla (LaTortilla brand only 50 cals, 8 fibers, 5 proteins) and 1 chicken sausage, smoked mozzerella/artichoke kind (17 proteins, 5 fats) and mustard and a side salad with romaine and sprinkle of cheese with FF italian.
S: EAS cafe caramel shake
D: prollli boneless pork loins (4 oz) and a veggie or salad (few bites of).
S: maybe a bomb pop or SF jello
I will be around 775-800 cals, fats 28, carbs around 60, protein 85 and fiber 23ish plus the fibersure im putting in my decaff coffee, etc...
I am getting much fuller with this regimen, hard to get my protein up to where it used to be.. its weird.
How did you do today?
Hey Melissa...busy week for me and I'd not been logging my food, but I did today.
1) atkins protein bar & 8 oz. skim milk
2) 1/2 cheese enchilada w/ 1/4 cup refried beans
3) atkins protein bar
4) 1/2 cheese enchilada w/ 1/4 cup refried beans
5) 4 cups watermelon (spread throughout the day)
6) 32 oz decaf coffee w/ sf caramel syrup and ff half & half
7) I will be having a protein shake later to get my protein in
cals call it 1200, fats 44 (whew just made it), carbs 137 thanks to the watermelon, beans, cheese, atkins...think GOOD CARBS. protein...77

Hot here today, how about where you are? (And do I mind it, no! LOL) Thank you for posting your daily total goals, Melissa. I have them written down here next to my computer and will try to follow them to see how I can do.
Here's today:
1) frosty protein shake (what a surprise, huh?)
2) 120 cal prot. bar
3) fruit! 1/2 cup bing cherries, 3 strawberries and 2 slices (sans skin) of apple. Ouch, the apple hurt! That experiment failed.
4) 100 cal Starbuck's light frapp.
5) 3 T roasted soynuts
6) 1/2 cup Special K Protein Plus (this is yummy and very filling!!!)
7) I grazed down 2 cups of marinated cucumbers which are only 32 calories but still it went in my mouth so I have to count it!
Normally I add Benefiber to my morning protein and then have a fiber powdered-drink deal in the afternoon. Today I missed the afternoon so I'll have Benefiber with a glass of water before bed because I'm pretty sure this cereal is going to keep me too full to catch up on my water this evening before I hit the hay. But, I'm going to try to add a 3rd Benefiber to the routine tomorrow to see how it makes me feel. Do you think it is the supplement that is making you feel fuller, Melissa or the different food?

Notice the FIBER....i am making a concerted effort.......2 tsp of Benefiber 3x per day....

That's great Dawn, cals were a little low but otherwise great job! I am gaining on the scale from all of this so not too thrilled about it.. sigh. I might bring the carbs back down and just add more fibersure to the diet and a supplement too i donno. I am not happy that I am back up to 171 now. grrrrrr. I want my old plan back so bad.

I noticed that the Cals were low too BUT i figure that leaves room for a margin of error.....it is REALLY hard for me to keep my carbs & my fat low........on my low carb days my fat is usually high........transversely on my low fat days my carbs are usually high...........it is a very tricky balancing act.........
Dont sweat the poundage...i am sure it is just your body adjusting to all of this fiber and what not.......
