What did ya eat today? tuesday
Hey everyone. Well I thought I was gonna do a soft diet but my stomach has been tolerating things pretty well today. This is what i ate.. I am making serious changes and a bit scared but my cals are right and protein still high.. so here's to a new beginning for me in my diet to include more GOOD carbs.. scared to death tho. Not gonna lie.
B: EAS cafe caramel protein shake (yum)
S: Mini bag of popcorn
L: whole grain pita pocket toasted with laughing cow light cheese, 2 oz deli chicken meat, romaine, onion, couple sliced black olives and .5 oz black beans.
S: 1 apple with peanut butter (tablespoon)
D: 2.5 oz fillet mingnon and a couple slices of zuchinni and onion grilled
S: EAS proteinn shake again.
I feel like I eat all day long to get these fibery foods in but I am still at 900 cals, 85 proteins, 35 and 73 carbs (so scared).. lol. Wish me luck!

Hi Melissa I read the Monday post so sorry to hear about you FOS problem. It looks like you are feeling better today. I was busy yesterday so didn't see post until today.
Bfast - protien shake
Lunch - 2 oz grilled catfish with mango salsa, 1 fried shrimp, 8 bites of greens with dressing and 2 calamari strips, 4 bites creme brulee(this is why I try not to dine out much)
snack - 1 rice cake and 1white nectarine
dinner - finish the fish and broccoli
snack - maybe a popsicle

I had the following today:
b-oatmeal with milk and pineapple chunks
s-atkins protein bar-did not like it, and bought a box... I am stuck with it
l-chicken salad with crackers, sf pudding
s-string of cheese with ham and salame
s-pineaple chunks
d-cottage cheese on wasa crackers and 3 pineapple chunks
Do I have an addiction to pineapple, or what?
I just check with fitday and eat tooooooooooooooooooo much, more control tomorrow.

So you check with fitday and it said that you ate too much.....at least you are aware of it now! that is what i have been "learning" over the past 3 weeks.........once you see what you could improve on.........it will be a lot easier for you and you will see great results i know it !
Hang in there and dont beat yourself up over it....a little secret? i had a STRESSFUL weekend plus PMS.......on Sunday i ate nearly 1400 calories 84g of FAT !!!!!!! Normally i wouldnt have written it down but i have to be accountable -----Monday was a new day and a better day for sure.....

Hi! Oops, I am supposed to be in bed but am waiting for bread to finish for me to take to work for my coworkers tomorrow. Hafta say the house smells really good but it is cinnamon raisin bread which I never even liked pre-surgery so it doesn't tempt me at all. hahaha We have to smell bread baking every morning at work and I've thought it would be nice to bring some to my coworkers. I'll prob. have some yogurt or something tomorrow. Here's today:
1) frosty protein shake
2) 3/4's of a sf light yogurt, 1/2 cup kashi go lean mixed in
3) 140 cal GNC prot. bar (on the run shopping)
4) 2 turkey/cheese rollups, 1/2 cup marinated cukes
5) 1 normal size bag microwave popcorn (whoa, eaten over a long time and 250 cal!)
6) 1/2 c. nonfat cottage cheese, 1 oz. brown rice dorito-style chip thingys
Lots and lots and lots of water. Those chip things are really salty! Sorry, too tired to grab the numbers from sparkpeople but I think it came in around 936 cal, upper 70's for carbs (gulp!) and over 90-something in the protein.
Bought a new food scale today (the one they were talking about on the bypass board) and am finding it so much more convenient to use than my old one so I know I will measure a lot more than I have been.

Today was my FIRST day of FITDAY and this is what I ate:
Breakfast-string cheese
Lunch-Detour Protein Bar and a Cranberry Crush Splenda Smoothie (tropical smoothie cafe)
Snack-1/4 c almonds
Watermelon
Dinner-Steak and 2 pieces Fried Green Tomotoes (weak moment, I made them for my husband and ate 2 small ones)
Snack-string cheese
100 calorie South Beach Protein Bar
I have me at 78 grams protein, 46 grams fat and 83 grams carbs (it was the smoothie at 45 that put me so high) and 1095 calories.
I know the smoothie is high in carbs but it is made with Cranberrys, Strawberrys and Kiwi (I think) and made with Splenda.
So looking at this I need INPUT on what anyone thinks I am doing WRONG. I am asking so please feel free to tell me;)

Hi Diana.. well after my bought of constipation, I don't feel I can give any advice right now lol. I had a plan that was working very well for me for about 8 months and now well I got to switch things up.. adding more good carbs now. I have fear it will slow my weight loss but i need to get over that, just afraid now I won't make goal with these things added in there. I normally don't go over 50ish grams now I am aiming for more like 70-80 if not more.. sigh. I have to do it though.. my bowels were in termoil. Gonna add a fiber supplment in there too and maybe I can bring the carbs back down a bit. But for now it is what it is.. i don' think it looks bad what you had at all.. doing great as far as I can tell, protein is high, fat maybe a smidge high.. i try to keep it under 35-40 at highest but i prefer under 30. I never personally go over 1000 cals but do what your nut tells you. carbs normally i would say are high but like I said, I don't know anymore.. lol Good luck!

I am still too high on my Carbs....but my cravings have me eating Wasa Crackers and Yogurt this week...I need to practice restraint! Wednesday will be a new day!
