I'm having HUGE issues with my stomach area...funny now I know, because I'm pregnant. But that's where I've always carried the majority of it and still do. I spent a long time the other day examining my body to get a realistic imagine in my head of what I really looked like. I was having one of those "fat" days. I noticed that if it weren't for skin, I could easily be 2 sizes smaller at least. So yes, a tummy tuck is something I'm definitely going to have done. I'd REALLY like a breast lift/reduction as well. And if I get brave enough, maybe my arms...though I'm still waiting to see how those turn out when I'm at goal. I may need inner thigh work, but again, we'll see.
Not sure congratulating u on any weight loss these days is appropriate! But keep eating healthy you are doing great. I understand that with the skin issues.. all the things you mentioned are something I would consider too if I was going to go all out. I would be in a smaller size if it wasn't for the stomach. I still have some weight to lose in the lower abdomen but its getting more squishy these days. So this nausea you were having before is this morning sickness I would guess now? *hugs*
OOOH...I forgot to update yesterday about meeting with the surgeon and nut. Both said I don't have to do anything different for the first 3 months (2 now) and then just add 300 calories to my diet for the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. The vitamins and supplements I'm taking are perfect so I don't need any prenatals. I brought them with so the nut could check them out. And they both said it was fine for me to lose a little in the first 3 months, but no more than 10 lbs. Also they said it's quite possible for me to NOT gain and that would be fine as well. So, you can congratulate me on the loss. He also wants me to see him every 2 months until I have the baby to get my levels checked and to make sure I'm doing well nutrition wise.
I DEFINITELY have more to lose in my lower and upper abdomen, but for as much that's already squishy, I fear what it's going to look like after. LOL!
Yes, apparently the nausea this time WAS morning sickness. I guess that explains why it was stronger this month than all the previous months.
Thanks for the hugs..I feel like I need them today. Let me return them as well. *hugs*
whoops...i forgot to weigh this morning....i will do tomorrow and report in. I need to get some fiber too my dr recommended benefiber 3x per day---but i always forget, & it is too hard to put it in my water bottle at work...blah blah blah...but it sounds like Melissa was in some serious pain so i should probably do it.......
My thighs look like balloons when you blow them up really reallly big then let the air out......really saggy ....almost as though i am melting...but just between my belly button and my knees.........i WILL have a lateral thigh lift (i saw it on one of the shows Dr. 90210 or something) i told my husband we need to start saving the $$ cuz i did not come this far to have droopy thighs. BUT i know that PS is going to hurt like a son of a gun and i dread that part.

Hi Melissa, Hi everybody!
Sooo glad to hear you are feeling better today, Melissa. We were all concerned about you after your ordeal. Good idea to keep pushing those fluids!
It was still a bouncing week for me. I did get down to 139 and then came back up to 143 last night but am going down again so I'm happy. Hate to tell you ladies, but when you get to goal it is really hard work staying there. All it takes for me to gain is to do a bit more grazing than I should and those pounds try to sneak back. Regarding skin issues, my 13 yr. old son today told me that I look unhealthy skinny and have a lot of gross skin. I replied with a big smiley thank you! He said, "No mom I don't mean that in a good way." Doesn't bother me, I worked hard to get this sagging skin and it really isn't all that much. At 46 it may tighten up a little bit in the next few years but even if it doesn't I think I can live with it. DH doesn't mind (or so he claims) and I'm wearing it as a badge of service.
Now this doesn't mean no plastics for Miss Molly, hoh no!!! I had breast reduction in 2000 and was told that the girls would stay the same size whether I lost additional or gained. The gaining part was true, they didn't get bigger. However, what I have now are just little sagging empty pockets that used to be breasts and they really need to be filled out. Whether or not that can be done with lipo'd fat or an implant I don't know. I have made two calls already seeking a consult permission and found out I don't need it so the next step is to make my first appt. and see what the doc. says. The timeline I'd like is to have it done early next May (optimally) or June. My 25th anniv. is next May 28th and I'd like to look nice and healed by then if possible. All depends on if I can save enough money for it.
Have a lovely day, I'm heading outside for some yardwork!
Molly
Hi Melissa,
How many of you at this point in your journey are considering plastic surgery and if so what areas would you like to focus on the most?
I am in the process of trying to plastic surgery. Really planned to get tummy tuck (still on the fence about the cost, although it is very very reasonable). I am in the process of getting a breast reduction and lift. Waiting on submission to insurance now.
Stomach and breast are my areas of focus. Everything else will have to go away with exercise or I will be stuck with it.
Anyone still got a particular area they are wanting to see changes with still (the last place you are losing weight from?) My stomach is not going anywhere. I have lost weight everywhere else.
my stats:
HW: 241 (in 2001)
SW: 233.6 (12/8/06)
LW: 150 (7/28/07)
CW: 152.6 (7/31/07)
Goal weight: 130-- almost there. I know the other 20 pounds is in my stomach (see above).
Miss you all ladies, I now have a little free time to come here and post and check on my december friends!
Angela
Hi all!!!
It has been ages since I last posted. I saw my doctor for my 6 month check up a few weeks ago and he was quite pleased with my progress. (I have not seen him since surgery as he is a 4 hour flight away!!). Anyway, his sugestion about plastics was not until about 3 years out as your body is constantly changing throughout that time.
I do not weigh myself every week just once a month at the doctors. I usually manage about 10 pounds a month which makes me extreemly happy.
Congratulations to all of you. You are all doing so well!

I am down 129 and so close to wonderland. I think the last time I was there was when I was 10 so I am so so excited to be there!!! I am only 19 away from my doctors goal as well. My goal is still quite aways away but I know I will get there.
