***Tuesday Weekly Weigh-In 7/310/7***
Hey Gang! Hope you all are having a good start to your week. Mine is starting out much better than it was over the weekend! I am glad to report that I am feeling back to my old self after a rough Monday Still think I will just take it easy today and drink lots of fluids (might still be dehydrated) and lean towards a more softer diet today, rest my bowels some, they were pretty upset at me yesterday, can't say I blame them. Thanks for all your well wishes and concerns. I am so glad that we are all here for each other. This board has really come around the past couple months, it was pretty slow before. I am so proud of everyone for taking the initiative to be more proactive. I really feel like this is a place I want to come to for advice and support everyday. Sooo proud of that fact! Ok so on with the Tuesday question! Now that we are approaching 8 months out I am sure some of you are dealing with the skin issues of weight loss. How many of you at this point in your journey are considering plastic surgery and if so what areas would you like to focus on the most? Anyone still got a particular area they are wanting to see changes with still (the last place you are losing weight from?)
I am kinda on the fence with the skin stuff actually and whether or not I want to have plastic surgery. I feel for losing almost 160 lbs total I am able to hide almost all of my skin issues under clothes. Sure it would be nice to prance around in a bikini (can never imagine this) but at the same time I really could care less. I still won't look great even in a one piece but part of me doesn't care either! We also haven't had kids yet and I don't want plastics until we decide for sure if the kids will happen or not. So I guess I am not being overly proactive at this point about plastic surgery. I have skin on my stomach and arms mainly that could use some tuckin' and starting to get bad on the upper thighs. Butt still looking ok thankfully ;)

I had a good loss this week but I wouldn't recommend the way I did it ;) Actually I was 171 before all this mess, another reason I was surprised I was full of poo.. I was losing weight and the clothes were getting looser, getting my water and exercise, some fiber (obviously not enough) and running.. major surprise!
How did you do this week?
Hi Melissa, glad to see you are doing much better. At about three months post-op I went thru a period of constipation and I would not wish that on my worst enemy so I am careful to eat veggies and fruits to keep my regularlity and it seems to work so far.
As for PS, I just can't wait to have a tummy tuck and a breast lift. I will probably have that done sometime next spring or summer. I would love to see my insurance pay for it but that is something that I will find out down the road.
I lost 4 lbs this week.

Disappointing that there is no loss this week. (2nd week in a row) I feel like I have been busting my butt and counting every thing that goes in my mouth, but still nothing. WTF is going on. I have been really good with my exercise too, but as always guess more needs to be done. I am still 16 pounds away from my 11/22 goal of 199. I hope i can still get it done.
As for plastic surgery, I was all about the NO before the WL, but now I would love to have this tummy skin removed and to put the girls back up where they belong. I had a breast reduction several years ago so I don't want implants just a little push in the up direction.
Glad you are feeling better Melissa.
Hey Amy! You had a very good loss about 2 weeks ago and I think our bodies adjust. Whenever I lose a lot I tend to either lose a lbs the following week or two or nothing.. so big losses are great but I think all in all I average the same amount lost just about every month even with big drop weeks, it all averages out. 16 lbs to lose by the end of november.. i would almost bet you will get there and happily surpass that goal as long as you are following the rules and doing what you are supposed to be doing. that is 4 months away, easily doable and then some. Hang in there, I know its hard and we all want the weight off now but our bodies have to readjust and sometimes needs its time for whatever reason. keep trucking along...don't give up.
Hi Everyone

So I have only lose 84 since my surgery if I do not count the 20 I lost on the prediet. I have lost 10 pds since the end of MAY. I need some tips on what everyone is doing and eating so I can see what the heck I am ALL doing wrong.
(Yes I am happy I am down 104 BUT I still have a long way to go)
Diana
You are doing great Diana! The picking does add calories.. thats why grazing is such a nono post op as you know. Are you logging it all on fitday? getting your water *inbetween* meals? Yes even walking is great to add to your daily routine. Watch the carbs but also get in enough fiber (my issue right now) and keep focused. 104 down is wonderful! What a milestone! 20 lbs since may.. thats 10 lbs a month.. wonderful! I am about 20 lbs down from may too! I personally am happy with that loss, you should be too!! hang in there!
