Fitday
Beatriz-- I will be happy to tell you what MY dr told me --but i think she is a bit more restrictive in the CARB area than most are......
My Dr wants me to stay at 800 Calories with 35.5 g fat, 40 g Carb and 80 g Protein. I have been a slow loser so i went to her last Thursday for the first time since surgery- she is an internal medicine dr with specialty in bariatrics & she is affiliated with the same group as my surgeon. This is my pms week so the scale is staying about the same---but last week by following Melissa's limits i lost 7lbs.........
Beatriz,
I'm using Sparkpeople.com but not their limits on carbs because their numbers are way too high! My doctor and nut. never nailed down a number on carbs during the honeymoon phase because their focus was always first and foremost on protein. (60 minimum and the range goes to 80) Somewhere in my info from them I ran across the 100 gr. carbs for maintenance so that is what I use mainly now. I think the sparkpeople account has me set at 150 or so, I try not to get anywhere near that, it feels too high for me.
I honestly don't fret too much about those numbers as much as the daily calories. Those tend to really freak me out when I near the 1000 range. Working on maintenance I have to get used to that amount but it is so scary, the last thing I want to do is start eating so much that I begin to get accustomed to it and then let the weight trickle back on a bit at a time.
