She also gave me a B12 shot which was the best thing EVER......I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned .....i had so much energy........
Hi Amy! This is what I take!
Morning: 2 chewable kids vitamins, 1 sublingual b12 (1000mcg), 1 L-lysine (i take this to prevent cold sores, has nothing to do with my bariactic doc), 1 thiamine (very important they are finding thiamine deficiencies in wls patients now... effects can be irreversible neruological damages). Actigall, 1 cap since they are watching my labs/gall bladder still.
Lunch: Calcium Citrate with Vit D 500mg
Dinner: Calcium Citrate with Vit D 500mg
After Dinner: Iron, vit c (take together to aid absorption and never within 2 hours of you calcium or multivitamins.. calcium will always fight for absorption and always wins) and colace plain stool softener. 1 actigal.
Before bed : Synthroid (my prescription med).
are you taking B-12 sublingual? just checking because if you had RNY your tummy cannot absorb B-12.
I take a prenatal vitamin and 2000 biotin.
calcium citrate I take 500 twice a day- How much do you take at once? Your body can only absorb 500 at a time in addition is should not be taken at the same time as your other vitamins.
I cannot believe that your surgeon did not give you a list of what he feels you should take. My surgeon has a nurse that works specfically with things like that to be sure you are getting in what you need. It is a very serious matter and he really should be making sure patients get the information they need to stay healthy.~Terisa
