B-12 shot vs. sublingual

hi all..I was wondering who does the shot and who does sublingual. If you take shots what are you thoughts on it? I am considering doing the shots instead and would like to know more about it.

I do the sublingual once a day and it works fine for me. I do not want to be bother with going to the doctors office every month or so to get the shot.

is it really once a month? I was not sure how often. Does insurance cover it? What kind of sublingual are you taking. I was doing liquid and it was gross. I take one from trivita.com and it tastes good and has other useful vitamins in it as well. I showed my surgeons office and they thought it was a great vitamin and they are recommending it to the other patients now. It is a little expensive though.

I do not know how often the shots are but if I not mistaken you have to taken in a monthly basis. I take it sublingual, one tablet under the tounge until it dissolves, its really easy. It tastes good, I buy it generic at the drugstore.

shots are only once a month....this month was the first one that i took.. i also take sublingual everyday...BOY is it a kick in the pants....i was WIRED the first couple of days ..........my energy is great...but i thought it was fine before? so i dont know if i will continue to take them. I also dont know if insurance pays for it ...i am holding my breath waiting for the claim in the mail

I would love to have an extra boost of energy. With work, school, and a large family I could really use it. Would you mind letting me know if your insurance does cover it? Thanks~Terisa

Hello I am doing the shots and it is not bad. My Boyfriend gives them to me in the fatty area of my lower stomach and I do not feel a thing. Most people have the shot once a month and then you are done.I think with the sublingual it is everyday yuck???? Anyway I do the shots twice a month because I asked, I love the energy it gives me. hope this helps Kelly
