What did we eat today - Sunday
Are you as bummed as I am that the weekend is coming to a close? I shouldn't be, I had to work all weekend but it seems that people are more relaxed and happier on the weekends. My weekend comes on Tuesday, I plan on doing a LOT of gardening.
Here's today's food so far:
1) frosty protein shake
2) 1/2 cup kashi go lean
3) insides of an apple/chicken sausage, 1/4 cup nonfat cottage cheese, 1 oz. whole-grain cheddar crisps (d*mn that Costco anyway...I gotta get rid of these!)
4) another ounce of those crisps...argh!!!
5) planning on a small taco salad (minus any taco shells) with my guys
6) a dish of cucumbers and FAGE yogurt (I found it this week, wahoo!!!)
OK, folks...what did you eat today? Any ideas on what we'll be eating tomorrow so we have a good weigh-in on Tuesday with Melissa?
Molly
1) protein shake w/ 1c. skim milk
2) Turkey wrap (turkey pastrami, .25 oz cheddar cheese slice, 2 tsp guac., low carb/low fat tortilla)
3) salami & cheese roll ups
4) 4 cups watermelon (scattered throughout the day) CARB ALERT!!!
5) low fat/low sodium salami & cheddar cheese
Calories were high today thanks to the salami and the watermelon. Will do better tomorrow.

Watermelon is almost gone thankfully, so tomorrow will be a better day. Besides I'm having nothing bu****er tomorrow so my weigh in will be good on Tuesday.
I'M KIDDING FOLKS!
Sounds like you have the Watermelon Monkey on your back like I've had the Strawberry Monkey on mine this summer. I got it pretty much under control but then I went to Costco and there they were in all their hussy red glory calling my name. Oh man, I just ate a cup of them and they were glorious!!! What a lovely substitute for the cucumbers tonight. mmmm....
Don't worry about tha****ermelon, at least they were natural carbs and not overprocessed. I remember one weekend years ago when I was on Weigh****chers and all I did was gorge on watermelon. Meeting night was Monday and I was sure I'd go in with a bad gain and instead lost 3 pounds. Must have been all the liquid (and fiber!) I got out of the watermelon.
A question about your guacamole: do you make your own or buy it? I get hungry for it but am the only one in the family who eats it so I usually just buy a small avacado and keep the pit in it and use it up a little at a time till it is gone. Takes me four days since I try to eat no more than a quarter of it a day. Do you think that is too many fat grams each day for that much of an avacado? Your two teaspoons sounds like such a tiny amount, now I feel like a pig.

Molly...
I DO have the watermelon monkey on my back. Thankfully I've finished it off today. I almost picked up another one yesterday at the market, but I was strong. I had the strawberry monkey a couple of months ago. Costco was also to blame for mine as well. I don't know about loss, I woke up and gained those 3 lbs I lost on Wednesday. I think it's cycle time and I'm retaining.
I'd love to make my own, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be nearly as good, plus I'm sure I'm too lazy. So, store bought it is. Here's the nutrition info from it:
Serv. size = 2 TBSP
Cal. = 45
Total fat = 4g
Sat. fat = 1g
Cholesterol = 0
Sodium = 105mg
Total Carb. = 3g
Dietary Fiber = 2g
Sugars = 0
Protein = < 1
I know that my nutritionist recommended a fat ratio of 3g per 100 cal. But because I'm usually under on most foods, I make this allowance. Also it's vegetable fat as opposed to animal fat which makes it better. A quarter of an avocado in my mind would seem like 2tbsp of guac? So I wouldn't say you were piggish.
Ingredients for guac:
Avocado, tomato, onion, cilantro, salt, and garlic. (no other additives or preservatives)
