Hi Leatha, there are a bunch of different Kashi cereals. The one most of us use is the Kashi Go Lean. Not the crunch or the ones with fruit and nuts added...they have a lot more calories. I agree about the amount, too, I can only eat a half cup of it at a time because it is so filling. But I don't eat mine with any liquids either. Every great once in awhile I will add the Ka****o a serving of yogurt but that is just to add some crunch to the yogurt and I know that it will empty out of the pouch faster and I'll be hungier than the Kashi alone so it is a tradeoff. DOH! I'm eating the crunch one!! And I use a tad bit of soy milk to kind of "soften" it up.

I bet that one tastes really good, too! I had to go find my next box (I pour them into tupperware once they are opened) to see the sugar grams. The Go Lean has 140 calories for 1 cup, 1 gr. fat, 30 carbs, 10 gr. fiber, 6 gr. sugars and 13 gr. protein. I've been eating the Kashi Go Lean dry as a breakfast food for the past year and a half, I just take it to work in a plastic baggie. Pre-RNY I ate a full cup and now the half cup does just fine. I also buy kashi bars at Costco that are oats and nut based and ok on protein and sugars for emergency foods. They seem to make really good products. Molly

Hi Leatha! I use Kashi Go Lean.. it has 5 sugars. The Kashi CRUNCH has many sugars, there is a difference. Hope this helps!

You know...I never knew there was a NON crunch one. I must investigate these options in the store. I've always bought mine at Target or Walmart...and that's all they've ever carried, or so I thought. Thanks for letting me know!!
