B: (didn't eat until noon, woke up kinda late and was dinking around) I had a 3 oz chicken sausage with smoked mozzerella and artichoke and side salad with romaine, fresh cucumber from my garden, a couple black olives and an ounce of low fat cheese with low fat honey mustard. 253 cals, 25 porteins ** these sausages are low fat 5 grams, 2 carbs, 110 cals and 15 proteins for a 3 oz dog... got them at walmart by the feta cheese/hummus, near the deli, highly recommend them, they taste awesome. Even my husband was way impressed. They also have a an apple and gouda cheese one. L: 4 oz of dannon fit and light yogurt with 1/2 tbsp of SF blackberry Jam, 1/2 cup kashi and 10 bluberries. 148 cals, 12 proteins. I am just not feeling food today.. unlike monday where I could of eaten myself out of house and home with the munchies. So far I am only at 37 proteins, 33 carbs, 16 fats and 400 calories. Going to do chicken later with some veggies and prolli a protein shake or bar or some kind to get the protein level up. How did you do today???

Melissa - I read in an earlier post that you are looking for whole grain crunchy foods - have you tried the All Bran crackers? They are high in fiber - 5 g. for 1 serving which is 18 crackers. Taste is very good. I like the plain with PB or by themselves and the Herb with laughing cow cheese.

Oh yes I bought some and OMG they are too addicting I can totally see me not being very good with these.. crackers and chips were my downfall preop so I gotta be careful. As for the skins on the sausages they are actually not bad at all, yes I do eat them and I do well with them but I have never been one to get anything stuck so keep that in mind.

For dinner I had 4 oz of a tomato basil flavored chicken breast with some green beans then later i had an Oh Yeah peanut butter cup protein bar (these have a lot of fat so I don't highly recommend them). However I am menstrual and they really hit the spot and i was low on protein. Oh well...

Hi Shawneena, I notice that you too only eat "mini meals". How does this work for you? Do you actually get full on 1/4 cup kashi with 1/4 cup milk? If so great.. wish I would! I have to do larger portions to feel satisfied between meals.

I really do get full up quickly...MOST of the time. On occasion, though rare, I can eat like mad. I say that but eating like mad is no where near what it was when I was pre-op. The mini meals work pretty well for me I would say. I was doing the 3 meal a day thing and noticed that my weight loss came to a halt, but now that I'm back to mini meals (like doc ordered) I see I'm picking up the pace again. It also depends on the food I"m eating. I find the Ka****o be VERY filling, but of course I could probably eat an entire bag of sun chips. Not that I would. If I attempt to eat 2 large eggs, I'm VERY full, to the point of miserable. And regular home cooked chicken breast, I"m pushing to get 2 oz in...if I do, there's no room for anything else, so rarely do I have any veggies. I've heard though that the further out we become the more we're able to eat...for my sake, I hope that's not true. I think it's perfect where I'm at. You seem to be working yours well though. Are you hungry in between?

Well my meals are quite larger than yours.. I was eating 2 oz of meat and getting full at 3 months. I am now up to 3-4 oz of meat with some soft veggies on the site or a whole grain (smaller) tortilla with an ounce of laughing cow cheese, 3 oz deli meat and romain rolled up together and even a pickle sometimes. If I don't eat this much and get the "im satisfied" feeling I do get hungry between meals. But i keep the cals below 1000 and eat about 4 times a day. Most meals are 200 cals some are 250. Depends.. interesting how we are all so different.
