We are going to a su****hai/chinese food buffett tonight with some friends. I have no problem staying away from most foods, but I am a sushi addict. Anybody have sushi since surgery? If so about how many pieces were you able to eat ? Anyone know how to figure out nut values for sushi?

Oooh, sounds like a fun evening! I've never eaten sushi in a restaurant, just purchased as take-out from Costco or grocery stores. Since surgery I've tried a California roll type. I took it apart and removed the rice and raw carrots, but it still got stuck. But I think it was the wrapper. I'd love to try it again if I ever see a different kind available in stores. One of these days I'm going to try to make it at home, I have the wrapper mat and a package of seaweed just waiting. No idea of nut. values...guess that will depend on what you have in it. Have fun! I haven't yet but I am dying to try some. I hear you can order it without rice and they will do a soy paper at some places instead of seaweed that is easier to chew? I donno, just heard that and also some places will substitute brown rice for white, worth a shot asking anyway.. im so jealous. It was my fav preop.

I ate 4 pieces chewed very slow and very well. Luckily nothing got stuck and it tasted great.
