What did ya eat today - Tuesday?
Warning.. not a typical day for me! ;o) We were out of town shopping all day.
B: 1 whole grain/high fiber tortilla, 1 tbsp of light mayo, 3 oz chicken deli meat, 1 romaine leaf chopped on top, splash of white vinegar and some greek seasoning all rolled up.
L: We went to Wendy's on the way to our shopping expedition. I got a chicken blt salad. I ate the chicken and cheese off the top and sprinkled just a little italian vinegerette dressing. got full fast.
S: Grande SF decaff vanilla iced latte with soy milk, no whip. This was at Barnes and Noble (starbucks) and I was able to spend 3 hours reading a book that I loved! It was by a woman who made it go goal and she wrote the entire book on what now.. after losing the weight, how to mentally prepare for the maintenance phase. I really got a lot out of it. I was gonna buy it but it was 25 bucks and we had time to kill so i just red it while I sipped on my latte over 3 hours. haha... again.. tightwad!
D: We went to Olive Garden. Omg good. I ordered the chicken marsala which is grilled and then I believe pan seared, it had a very thin layer of italian cheeses and roasted red pepper in the middle. I had them hold the cream sauce that it came with and substituted a side of grilled zuchinni and squash for the garlic mashed taters. It actually isn't a huge portion, had 1/2 the chicken and two bites of vegtables, brought the rest home. Oh and I did have a small amount of their salad beforehand..
I think all in all with my day out I made very wise choices and did very well, I am proud of myself. could have done without the iced latte, but overall I know I was under 1000 cals still and got my protein in. I was hap

2 WASA light rye crackers 60 cal 2 protein
S: 1 WASA Cracker 30 cal 1 prtn
1 oz turkey lunch meat 42 cal 8 prtn
LS: 1 choc/Coconut protein shake made with 1 cup almond milk 220 calories 32 prnt
Total cal:978
Total Protein: 110
Over 1 gallon of water too.
Seems like allot of protein.
How many carbs/calories is everyone trying to stay under?

I think it looks like a great day! I try to stay under 50-60 carbs, and those are "good" carbs, but if I go over to 75 or so lately I don't get too uptight. My Kashi Cereal adds up fast but remember you can subtract the fiber amount (Kashi has like 10) from the total and get the "net" carb amount. Same with any other whole grain product. So I really do stay under 40 or 50 if I do this. But if you work out you do need some carbs... it keeps ya going through the day and our brains need so much too to function properly. I try to stay under 1000 calories.
Glad you like them. I tried the multigrain and ick.... but I do love the rye ones. I ate them a lot earlier out. I tend to forget about them as it seems I have replaced them more with whole grain tortillas these days but I do love them and need to remember them. They are great carb wise and gives ya a great crunch don't they?
