HW: 246 SW: 246 LW: 186 CW: 189.5 Pounds GAINED for week: 3.5 I was so not a happy girl yesterday when I stepped on the scale. I thought my major stall was over. I was back to losing 2.5 pounds per week and then wham-o and I have never gained that much back before at once! I sure hope this is due to the time of the month or something! Oh well, hopefully it just means I will be down that much more next week! right????? Let's see my fav food continues to be refried beans. I lived on them at first and still have them at least a few times per week I sure am glad I have this board to come to for support!

Hi Hockey Mom, Don't worry it will come off. A couple weeks ago I got down to 183 then back up to 188 then all the sudden back down to 180, I am pretty sure it was a hormonal thing. I went to the main board all upset and they gave me a suggestion and it really worked. They told me to drink lemon in my water b/c its a natural diuretic and to eat steamed asparagus.. it worked it worked.. I started peeeing like mad. This fluid shift is exactly that a fluid shift. It takes eating 3,500 cals to gain a pound above your normal intake.. you did not do this! It will be off of ya in no time.. hang in there.. I know how frustrating it is!! *hugs* Here is to a week of fluid loss!

Hi All, HW: 320 SW: 310 LW: 218 CW: 216 Pounds lost for week: 2 Sorry it took so long to reply, we just got back from vacation. Even being away from home for a week, I still lost! And I've broken through the plateau finally. Favorite food: low-fat cheese and beef jerky.

Hi Joanne! Ya gotta love this surgery when you can go on vacation and lose some weight! Congrats on the 2 pounds lost! I can't tell you how many times I read on this board that people lose on vacation, I really think it has to do with "mixing" it up -- the food options and things. I think we tend to get in a rut on what "works" at home. I too love me some beef jerky and cheese together as a snack. Easy way to get a lot of protein in. Great job this week

HW: 265 SW: 240 LW: 180 CW: 179 Pounds lost for week: 1 I'm still bouncing the same 2 lbs back and forth...I'm considering throwing out my scale because I've become obsessed. Hitting the gym more regularly, so I'm expecting to see my weight go up some before coming back down. Favorite food right now doesn't exist. My ulcer is giving me fits, so no matter what I put in, it's painful. Maybe next week I'll have a favorite.

Aw Shawneena sorry to hear your week has been rough with your ulcer. Do you take medicine for it? I was on nexium for a while and it helped preop a lot. I know those 2 pounds I played with a lot but you are right.. going back to the gym you are prolli gaining muscle, losing inches and not so much showing it on the scale.. but muscle end sup burning more fat later and so that will happen eventually. Hang in there and keep focused you are doing great!

Thanks Melissa. I'm so glad this board has such a great cheerleader!! Thanks for all your encouragement to everyone. It means a lot!! And the gym has been put on hold (stomps feet) I'm having some stomach issue and have to get looked at tomorrow. Some have suggested gall bladder, others bowel obstruction. Personally, I'm hoping for some weird pms symptom. Thanks again.

Oh Shaweena, I am saying a prayer for you.. good vibes all the way that it is nothing too serious. I know they are watching my gallbladder as well.. my total bilirubin was up at my 6 month lab appointment (me being a nurse I kinda knew I was in for trouble). But I had no pain and the redraw came back ok, just gonna continue the actigal for another 3 months. I hope its nothing too big of a deal. Please keep us posted, I will be thinking of you tomorrow. *Hugs*
