Friday-What did ya eat today???
Hey December babies!
I am posting a little early, I won't be around later as I am going to hang out with my brother in law and his girlfriend and my husband of course. But wanted to make sure I didn't miss posting this post! So here are the damages..
B: Blueberry Cottage Cheese Pancakes
L: 1 whole grain/high fiber tortilla with 3 oz deli turkey, 1 lgt french onion laughing cow cheese, romaine lettuce, splash of vinegar and greek seasoning. 2 bites of left over bean salad.
S: this is a weird one.. had a craving... 1 oz mixed nuts with 1/2 tbsp of peanut butter mmmmm
D: Probably going out with these guys later.. I always order meat and veggies when I go out so that is what I will get.
protein so far is 53, fats a little high at 34 (dang nuts and pb!), cals 708 and carbs 49. After dinner I should have 83ish proteins. A little low for me protein wise but not a bad day either.
What did you eat today?
Hi Melissa,
Am trying a new strategy here myself....posting this before the day is out so that it forces me to plan the rest of the day. I haven't been pre-planning my meals and maybe i'd do better trying to stick to a plan instead of winging it.
Here's today then:
4 a.m.--frosty protein shake
7 a.m.-- 140 cal protein bar
9 a.m.-- 1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean
2:30p.m.-- (HUNGRY after a marathon clothes shopping event!) 2 turkey-cheese rollups, 1 Frigo Lite mozz. stick, 1/2 cup watermelon cubes--delicious and feels so good in my pouch
abt. 6 p.m.-- 3 oz. chicken, 1 tab. light ranch dressing, 1/2 cup chopped romaine leaves, prolli 1/2 cup diet baked beans leftover from 4th
abt. 8 p.m.-- about 1 cup watermelon cubes or maybe a sf fudgesicle or maybe a piece of the leftover cheesecake from the 4th (I'll post that recipe next week)
I am going to sun-brew myself some decaf green tea and make sure to sip, sip, sip on that this whole hot weekend!
Have fun out tonight and have a good weekend at work. BTW, your nuts snack sounds good but don't you just hate how many calories nuts are? Bums me out!
Molly
Looks like you had a great day Molly! Yes, I love nuts and yes I hate how the cals and fats just add up like mad. The only good thing is the fats are the good fats but nonetheless still fat. I had this crazy urge (i don't get to many urges either) to have something salty and sweet and peanuty crunchy.. so I basically spread some peanut butter out and topped it with the nuts. Then ate it.. weird I know but I was in heaven to get that urge to go away and it worked! I have heard of this powder peanut butter that removes all the fat out and u just add water to it and its supposed to be great alone or in shakes, I must look into that. Have a great weekend too Molly!
