Molly: Wowsa, you look fab, thanks for the inspiration. I'll take 160 at this point. I don't care what I weigh, as long as I am under 170 and feeling good! Thanks again, Megan

Aw, that's very sweet of you. I admit to wanting to get to my doctor's goal weight now but I hadn't even charted or targeted my loss for fear of jinxing myself. I just never wanted to focus in on the numbers and as long as they were less each week and each month it was enough. Feeling good is the ULTIMATE payoff, isn't it? Can't wait till OH gets this message board changed over to the new format, it will be so nice! Hope it won't be too many more months longer. We are all doing great regardless of how much we've lost. After all, most of us would never have been able to lose what we have and have stayed on a 'diet' this long without surgery. And we'd never have been able to improve our health without losing something. Molly

According to Big Medicine on TLC, and what I've read over on the RNY board.. 8-10lbs a month is the realistic goal. So, at 70 lbs gone, we're all doing just F.I.N.E.

Heather: Valuable info.....no one at my clinic ever said WHAT or HOW MUCH to expect, so I am dealing with the expectations in my head... Thanks, Megan

Hi Megan, I am down 83 lbs and about 3 weeks from 6mo out. My losing has slowed way down. I am ok with that, our bodies are adjusting to everything and it seems like everyone is having a plateau. So I guess it's the norm. I am 33 lbs from my dr goal and I don't mind if it takes another 6 mo to get there. I do still dump and I noticed that at about 4 mo out I actually got hungry and was worried about stretching my pouch. But now I don't get hungry at all and I eat anywhere from 5-8 oz in a meal so I am good with that. Now if my hair will grow back I will be happy as a clam!!!

Ah the end of the honeymoon period...joy! But whod of thought wed complain about "only" loosing 70 or 80 pounds in 6 months! Im at -82 since day of surgery. I guess you hear about a lot of people hitting that 100 pound mark at 6 months which really isnt realistic unless your very heavy and that can set you up for dissapointment. WEll all make it and be super sexy dont worry! Just keep doing what we are suppose to do and work our new little buns off!

Erin: I got hungry too at 4 months!!!!! Now I don't either...how weird is that? I haven't dumped, I don't eat anything that would cause it. But, I did make my best friend buy a huge chocolate mint brownie last night....and I smelled it I told her I had to watch her eat it, and it was fun watching her eat it....she was more than happy to oblige me My hair is really thick, so no one knows its coming out in handfuls.....I hate it....HAIR EVERYWHERE! I am so glad you shared, thanks for the normalizing info!!!! Megan
