Don't know whats going on, but I am happy!
Hey kiddos, something strange (but good!) is happening to me this month!
I am already down 10.5 pounds (my surgeriversary is on the 4th of each month) so I have basically 2 weeks to go. Last month I lose 9 pounds only and I have already went past that! Now I may stall for 2 weeks and thats ok, but wow. The only changes I have made (b/c I didn't want it to slow down yet) was increased my water to a minimum of 80 oz a day, added, yes ADDED some whole grain carbs, and cut out the soy milk I was drinking (I am lactose intolerant) and started chewing those lactaid tablets before hand and now I am tolerating it ok (thank god). The soy has less calories but I also heard it can play havoc on your thyroid and I have a low thyroid so felt it was best I cut out the soy stuff. Also I switched my bc method, got off the pill (b/c of breakthrough bleeding) and got on the Nuvaring, which I LOVE! I used to only lose on my monthly.. now I am losing every week.. how weird eh? I mean my pattern has always been the same up till this month, has me scratching my head but enjoying every minute of it at the same time. Anyone else notice anything like this with any changes you have made?
Melissa I do the stall and lose thing too. I think it is normal for us when our bodies adjust. A note on the soy thing, I have throid issues too, but I do drink 8oz of soy milk once a day. I think you have to be consuming alot of soy products before it messes with your thyroid. I think I might ask my nut about that. You know what I am getting tired of though, meals. I can hardly tolerate a full meal. My dr reccommendations were 3 meals a day, but I had 2 strictures and still have issues with things going down as they should. I actually prefer to eat smaller meals like 5 times a day. I think I need to talk to her about that as well. Anyways congrats on the wt loss....

Great job for you!! I am about the same place that I was this time last month. I have lost 4 pounds since my month anniversary and I have 14 days left until June 8 which is my 6 month anniversary. I know my problem is getting in the exercise. I keep promising myself that I must commit and keep it consistent but with work, school, husband, a 3 yr old and everything else going on, its kind of difficult.
I would like to lose another 10 pounds this month, I lost 6 pounds last monthly weigh in and 8 pounds the month before that. I'll take what I can get but a girl can dream????
I also have a vacation coming up July 8 and want to be down at least 20 more by that time.
Some mornings (I weigh every day), I have a big loss--like 2 pounds, from the day before, but most days its just 2 ounce, 4 ounces, etc. I still track it, don't freak out and just log it into my spreadsheet. It is what it is.
