How much does everyone eat
I am just curious as to how much people are eating.
I can eat 7-9 oz(9 oz if I am eating more salad and) but really about 8 oz is where I want to be at and stay. I weigh my food when I can.
Let me know how your doing, PLEEEEEEZE and thanks, by the way your pictures all look great!! I am so proud of us...
Erin
I can eat a 3/4 cup of chili, sometimes a cup but I try not to pu**** that far if possible. I can eat 3-4 oz of meat with a couple bits of soft veggies/cottage cheese on the side. The dense the meat the less I can eat. Salad, I can do a cup of that with cheese, egg diced up or a little deli meat shredded up in there. I am noticing tho that I want the denser foods, they stay with me longer. As I am now 5 months out I am starting to feel more urge for my next meal which I hadn't had before. I don't know if it is necessarily hunger or just more of an "empty" feeling like I need to refuel after I have gone a few hours without food. Oh and I can eat one of those South Beach Wraps using all of the chicken and cheese it comes with. Just don't eat the other tortilla or jello that comes with it at that sitting. I can also do 1 egg, 1 oz ham, 1 oz cheese in a 6 inch high fiber/low carb tortilla dipped in salsa.
Hope this helps. I will want to follow this post as I have asked this before and I think its really informative and good info. Great thread topic! You look great by the way, I am also so excited for us December babies, we are all doing so so well!
Hi Erin,
This a typical day for me
6:00 - protein drink
8:00 - 1/2 protein bar
11:00 - 4-6 shrimp, 1/4 c. of veggis
2:30 - protein drink
5:00 - 3-4 oz of meat, 1/2 c. of salad
8:00 - 2 ritz crackers and a 1/2 slice of cheese
The only time I can eat over 4 oz of food is if it's soup, but even then it's never more than 8 oz. I still measure everything and track it all on fit day. For awhile there I wasn't eating any breakfast, but have finally gotten used to the 1/2 protein bar.
Joanne
Joanne so you eat like mini meals. My dr was pretty strick on staying on the 3 meals per day no snacking, but it doesn't really work for me. On the az board I started a thread about this. I like the idea of mini meals. I did eat about 6 oz tonight at dinner and that was plenty. It just depends I think on how I feel and how the meal goes down. I have had 2 strictures fixed and still have a little trouble with things going down smooth. I have tried the protien bars and don't like them, I would rather have a piece of turkey or beef jerkey. Thanks for the reply..
Erin
Hi Erin! You look great and I am sure you feel just as good! Thanks for asking the question because I feel like I eat too much during the day...
7am Protein shake with 4 oz. skim milk and 3 ice cubes blended
9am Low Sugar or weight control oatmeal with water - cant finish package
some days I eat half a container of dannon light and fit (sugar free low carb)
noon (lunch options) @ 6 oz. tuna salad, shrimp salad, turkey spaghetti with spaghetti squash, turkey chilli with cheddar cheese (Hormel from a can) - I have 8oz. containers and cannot eat the whole thing - with the tuna or shrimp I eat 2 pita chips
mid-afternoon - Atkins low carb protein bar or All Bran crackers (less than 10) with lite laughing cow spreadable swiss (yum) or low carb peanut butter
dinner - fish - about 6 oz. again with a couple pieces of veggies (cooked) or some lettuce with low carb dressing
evening - strawberries or nuts or melon... and last week I bought sugar free coolwhip for strawberries - took a week to eat the whole container.... but I still feel guilty... eeek!
I feel like I am somewhat normal, havent tried sugar AT ALL - has anyone? I dont want to - I am so afraid, not only of getting sick, but that it may take me backwards toward the fat, unhealthy life I was leading.
Anyway, hope this helps! Rebecca
Hey Rebecca I do the protien shake in the am, but don't eat the breakfast. I have had oatmeal 3 times and it made me dump 3 times. So that's a no no for me. I don't ever feel like eating before 11am, so I don't worry too much about breakfast. Thanks for the input. By the way I have tried sugar, you have alot of willpower to not ever try it. It has made me dump, so I generally stay away from it. Sometime I'll take a bite or 2 only if I know I have some protien in my pouch. But alot of things have made me dump, sf yogurt, refried beans, beef, bananas, watermelon. So I dump easy.
Thanks again for the post.Erin
My Nut says stay between 800 to 1000 calories a day until I am 1 year out so here is mwhat my normal day looks like:
Breakfast: Protein drink w/4 oz. skim milk
Morning snack: 1/2 dry high fiber cereal
Lunch: 4oz. of Tuna or chicken or chili
afternoon snack: 1/2 cup cottage cheese
Dinner: 4 oz meat and 1/4 cup veggies
snack: sugar free pudding cup
So far I do not know if I dum*****t and I don't plan on finding out anytime in the near future (it keeps me on track not knowing). I am also starting to feel a little more hunger in between meals and the weight loss has slowed down, and I work out 5 days a week. Also my hair is still falling out and has been since month 3, its getting pretty thin but still no bald spots I hope it stops soon and thank god I had alot of it.
