4 Month Update and New Pics
I haven't posted in a while - it's softball time, so I'm either running to ball practice or a game with my 9yr. old and haven't had much spare time!
I'm basically doing great - I've lost 75 lbs. since surgery and several clothing sizes! I was able to walk 3.2 miles in the MS Walk this past weekend and could've gone farther, but that was the end!
I've yet to find a good protein drink that's not too sweet-tasting. I do better with the Isopure drinks (40 grams), but hate to pay the price for them. After my 3-month check up, my surgeon sent me for an endoscopy (I'd told him that several things made me nauseous after eating them.). The test showed that I have a small ulcer, so now I'm taking medication (huge pills) 4 times a day. I don't understand the ulcer-thing, because my favorite foods are hot, spicy things! They are actually the only things that DON'T make me nauseous.
I've still not tried anything with sugar to see if I'd dump - I'm too afraid I won't!! I was eating sugar-free ice cream some, but started noticing that within 30 minutes of eating it, I'd start hearing my tummy rumble and feeling kinda yuk - so, I've laid off that for awhile.
Hope everyone's enjoying the beautiful weather - at least it's been beautiful here in NC - 91 degrees today! Hubby and I are heading to Myrtle Beach for a long weekend on Thursday (without any kids!), so I pray the nice weather continues!

Keep up the good work Patti, I stay away from the ice cream, but I do eat dried fruit(mango is my favorite.) I don't do very well with milk products. I did have 2 endoscopes done because I had 2 strictures. Still have to be careful and chew, chew, chew...be careful with the spicy stuff..
Take Care,Erin
