Any of you women only losers...

on your monthly cycles? I drop maybe 3-5 the rest of the month but lose my majority on my cycle.. how strange. I noticed this pattern. I can faithfully say it is the only time in my life where I look forward to that happening now. I am ready for next week, my drop week! (Sorry TMI to the men, Tony, etc.) Hugs, Melissa

I seem to lose in a pattern. Stay at the same weight for 2-3 weeks, then drop about 6 pounds in a week. And it's usually the week before my period (due next Friday). Wierd.....

Hmm. I never thought of it till now. Yup you are right. I hardly loose the rest of the month, then drop a few at that time of the month.

That has been my schedule the past 2 months. I thought it was a bit strange too. I was expecting to have water gain. Thank god I am not menopausal yet and hopefully won't start that until all my weightloss is over at this rate... Take care..

Melissa, looks like I'm the only one with the curse of no weight loss along with 'the curse'. I hold onto water before, during and after. The 'after' makes me maddest! What I worry most about now is pain. I thought I wanted to die during the last cycle and now after an exam I have a v. ultrasound in a few weeks and something not right on the left side. That is where I had my aneurysm 13 years ago and pain there always worries me. So glad that so many of you actually have good weight drops that time of the month. Molly

I just finished my cycle and lost 4 lbs. Unfortunately for me, now that's the ONLY time I lose. Though I AM thankful for the 53 lbs gone so far. For the last 3 months, my weight has held all during the month and then when my cycle is done, I've dropped 3-8 lbs. Maybe I should stop weighing myself daily (I'm a serial weigher) and driving myself nuts since I know it won't come off until my cycle is done. Interesting question and I'm shocked to see the results...I thought I was the only one.

hmmm... I've been stuck between 205-210 for a couple weeks now and should be starting 'that time' some time next week... I'll get back to you guys and let you know if my weight loss drops significantly around that time... I've heard about menstrual cycles having an effect on WL but I've usually heard that it kinda stalls the week or so before you start.... maybe that's why it seems like it drops all of a sudden??

That is so weird, Melissa, but you're right. I pack on the water-weight during that week, but the week after I'll notice that not only am I feeling great, but I've dropped between 2 and 5 pounds! So interesting... and so weird! Thanks for calling our attention to that! Cheers, Krystal 388/276/210
