The chicken that knew Kung Fu
Was this your first time eating chickies? I have done ok with it so far but get a little too full too fast. What kind of PB do you eat? I bought a natural PB a long time ago but am to chicken poo to try it. Sorry your pouchy is achin, mine does it alot lately and it takes a bit to settle down. Hope it feels better soon.

Heather, I felt your pain earlier yesterday. Apparently, chickens don't like Friday the 13th. Mine is never a whole piece anymore either. I always run it through the food processor to make teensy little chunks and then use some sort of sauce on top. Today, I had some fat-free bottled gravy on it (too much sodium!) and even then a blob managed to form in my stoma. What with the cramps and all, it was not a fun day all around. Got out my liquid hydrocodone from surgery to use for the cramps and that made my pouch even unhappier. Have been living off of Carafate and Prilosec ever since.
Hope your pouch is happier today!
Great title Heather!!!
I know what you mean - I cannot eat chicken unless it's in a soup, or cold cuts. The other night I made fajitas for my family thinking I could munch on the chicken - but it sank like a rock! I ended up having watching them enjoy the fajitas while I ate cottage cheese
BTW - I have found a peanut butter called 50/50 - its got less sugar and it tastes really good. I use it on crackers or in my protein shakes.

I feel for you girls... I never get anything stuck or get sick on anything other than real milk and that gives me problems on the back end. Never even really dumped. Sometimes I wonder if I had surgery other than the fact I can't eat much. I asked my doc about it, said the silly things like "is my stoma bigger than others since I can eat without getting stuff stuck???" They assured me no that it was a good thing but sometimes you want those little weird things to happen as sick as that may sound to know your tool is working. I wouldn't be upset if I had some discomfort and got something stuck just to know its there and all good. Weird way to think eh?
Normally me and the chicken are one. Have no problems with it. But I guess either it was still 1) either too cold or 2) too old. It was less than 3 days old, but minute the first bite hit my pouch it was on. Tried 3 more bites to see if everything would settle down, and then I knew it wasn't going to happen.
That cats thought it was just grand though, as they ate the rest of it out on the back walk, while I hot footed it to the powder room.
As for the PB, I only eat it maybe once a month, so I just eat the regular stuff the boys eat for their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It doesn't bug me at all.
It might just be a phase. At one point when I ate chicken it sank like a rock and the only way to make it better was to make myself throw it up. It's not fun at all having it come back up...but it was worth it when the pain stopped. However, I have not had this problem with steak. And it could have been me being a pig. The eyes are still a heck of a lot bigger than the stomache.
