Hi I can not believe I am ACTUALLY going to tell anyone my weight as I have told no one but here is goes..... I was 358 at my consol appt (this is the weight my dr. goes by) 338 the morning of surgery on my scale 3 months out I was 282 (down 57 since surgery) I will be 4 months on April 13th and am down to 275 so I have lost 65 since surgery..this has been a SLOW month for me. I know I need to eat more protein and EXCERISE more and keep my hands out of the red jelly beans. I pitched the rest of them in the trash this week as I am the only person in my house who truly LOVES jelly beans and I am the only person in my house who TRULY does not need to eat them. Happy Easter to ALL of you

No worries hun. We will all lose at different rates. I hit major highs and lows and am on a big low right now. I had lost 72 # then I had to start a pikk line iv everynight and have gained 3 pounds back. I never thought I would gain anything as I was losing ok. My Dr. said I am on track and I can not stress about a few pounds of water weight. We do still get the whole retention monthly or when we slightly dehydrate. We go into starvation mode and our bodies pack the fat in like it is gold. Keep a journal on the dates you weigh and you will see a pattern of your highs and lows. I am a 3 weeker, I stop losing for 2 weeks every 3 weeks. But it helps sanity wise to be able to find a pattern and go with the flow. Well, it helps me anyhoo. Grats on the loss so far and keep your head up, it will all fall into place. Huggs Brina

I think you're doing fine. Slow and steady wins the race - lol. I'm 4 months out and have lost 46.5 pounds which seems really slow, but I've accepted it and am very happy with what I am losing. They say the skin won't sag as much with slow loss...

HIYA Kelly- I had my surgery on Dec 13th..I'm down (from the last time I weighed) 64lbs. I do think the scale is horrible..it's so hard not to weigh yourself. However, I want make sure..you have a really good scale?? We had to go out and by a nice one because the other was saying too much fluctuations on it. I'm really horrible about the whole protein intake. I try and try. I hate everything..nothing tastes good to me. I try to eat a lot..that doesn't happen either. I'm great with veggies and fruits...and meats. Everything else...YUCK!! Drink plenty of water..and remember 48lbs is wonderful..we would have never gotten there this quickly without this surgery. Keep doing what you can..are you excercising?? I've been trying to walk at least everyday..I do notice my have major "chicken wing" arms lol But, so far none of the excess skin I was so worried about. I know you look wonderful and congrats on the weight loss so far Becky

Still having protein issues too Rebekkah? I can not find one that does not gag me and it has been months. I am the same, veggies are ez and meat is ok but those drinks are . I agree with the scale thing. I had to go get a nice one too and it made a difference. Brina

At 4 months out, my physician says I need to be eating 11g of protein between my 3-5 meals a day for a daily minimum intake of 77g. I break that up in to 3, 3, 4 (with snacks making up the difference). We're only allowed 2oz of veggies or fruit, with three meals. So, that's my meal plan. And I'm supposed to more of less be off the protein shakes/powders. I only use them on really bad days, in my yogurt.
