PROBLEM WITH LEG NUMBNESS !!!!!!

I was wondering do any one have a problem with leg numbness. I have loss over 85 lbs and the front of my legs are so numb and even hurt at times. I wonder if it the extra skin or what. I go to the Dr. on thrusday and will bring it up again but just wanted to know if any one else had this problem.

Wow,so your feeling the same pain Im feeling,Its right in the upper part of my legs right above the knee area where it hurts.And also feeling the numbness as well through out the back of my legs, hmm let me know what your Doctor has to say bout it please.I hope you get better hun and Godbless.

Sorry to hear that. No leg numbness here. They going to check your labs for your appointment with the doctor? Vitamins and other things can cause what you're describing.

My legs started going numb at about 2 months out. It has slowly traveled all the way up my legs and now my belly is numb too. Another WLS patient told me just this week to make sure to have my PCP document this as it is probably nerve damage from the weight of the skin that is hanging and that the documentation could be beneficial when trying to get my insurance to cover my tummy tuck down the road. I'm almost 4 months out and have lost 89 pounds. Vicki

I also had the same feeling, right above the knee and to the side of my thighs. I has subsided a lot but the feeling is still there. I mentioned it to my Dr and he believes it could be a late reaction to the anesthesia. It should go away completely, otherwise talk to your doctor about it. But I had the same reaction when I had my C-section. But its almost gone now. Good luck
