New to the December 2006 boards
This is my first post here....Actually my first post at all I had my surgery Dec 13th and I think I am a SLOW loser. I am thrilled to be down so do not think I am complaining. I lost 20 on the pre diet and 60 since my surgery. The last month I have only lost around 4 pds. I know I need to EXCERISE more and eat more protein. I feel great and am thrilled to be down BUT it is depressing to think of how much more I have to lose. How is everyone else doing?

Hi Diana,

Diana, dont sweat the weight loss thing,at least you are loosing and isn't that a good thing?lol,I think your doin great on the loosing.I myself need to excersise but cant due to bad back problems I am disable because of it,but look at me now I've lost over a 103lbs since Dec.12th and thats just sitting around the house and maybe getting out about every other day lol,Oh trust me your goin to loose it no matter what,You just hang in there girly and dont be discourage,You got a second chance in lifeGodbless and take care.
Welcome to the boards Diana. You are doing just fine with your loss so far. I panicked at week 3 because I had lost only a few pounds for 2-3 weeks. I found out that we all have our stall times and you will get used to it. I am at a stall right now, no loss in 4 days so far. It is all good though, it will start back up soon. I do not excercise like I should either. I have been sick with a few problems since my surgery and have not been up to it. You are doing great, keep your head up.

Hi Diana,
You are doing great I feel that I was a slow loser as well. I lost 10 pounds on pre diet and 55 since surgery .( as of the begining of march) The scale was really stressing me out not going anywhere or not moving so I finally decided to just put it away for awhile. My goal is to weigh monthly . Maybe instead of thinking about how much more you have to lose you can create small goals I have a long way to go and the thought of how far away I am is driving me crazy as well, thats why i am trying to think of short term goals. Good Luck on your journey we are all in this together!!!!
Diana, you are right on trac****ep reminding myself it isn't all about the numbers. I do know it is nice to see them drop. I am addicticed to the scale. I try to stay away. I have lost 63 pounds since surgery. I feel so much better. N W is right, set some small goals. What we all have acheived so far is awesome. Just use your tool. Keep the protein, water and excersise up. I am one to speak on excersise. That is my down fall. But I plan on keepin' on. Take care and think of how awesome 60 pounds in a little over 3 months is. Take care.

Hi Diana,
You have done outstanding!! Especially since you lost so much pre-op, usually you would plateau after WLS if you lost so much before. I had WLS on 12/8 and have lost 55 pounds so far. I have done well, except my losses are low for this current month.
As I sit here with my weight chart and clenched teeth!!!, I calculate my loss for this month!!!--7 pounds. YIKES!! Scares me because my month-iversary is coming up on Sunday.
So, for today, I have done all of my water and will eat no more, I am still full from lunch. Tomorrow, I plan to have liquids (my coffee drink for breakfast) and a healthy protein rich lunch and limited carbs. Darnnnit, when I weigh on Sunday, I better see at least 10 pounds gone this month or I'm gonna freak!!!!
Well, its bound to happen at one point or another. I did not take measurements then, or now, but one thing I know, I have lost inches. I have gotten too small for all of my size 16 pants, tried some on today to wear to work and they are just ridiculous, so I know the inches are slipping away. I measured for bras today and down from 44 to 36 in the band size so thats huge!!!
We are doing fine, December ladies, and lets keep the momentum going!! I must get my workouts together, been real hit or miss, the key is consistency. We will WIN this battle once and for all.
Good luck to everyone and here's to a great Month FOUR!!
