Hi December Babies! I haven't posted much here but wanted to see if any of you had experienced a stall at 3 months out? I weighed 228 at my 3 month (when I hit my 100 pounds lost -48 of that was preop) and stayed there for two week, this week got down to 222 but now today back up to 224, it is so frustrating, my loss is so bad this month.. upsets me. I am doing everything I am supposed to, not eating many carbs, 75 grams of protein, exercising, drinking my fluids, not drinking w/ my meals. What is a girl to do other than just wait wait wait.. sigh. I usually do better than this during stalls, but I calculated it up and so far out of the 3 1/2 months, 9 weeks have been stalls. kinda frustrating but I guess this is just the way my body works, is there ANYONE out there like me???? Thanks and hope things are well with ya all! I am down 56-58 pounds depending on the day since surgery (should be more, dreaded stall...grumble).

Hi Stephanie, Thanks for your reply. I think I have stalled more than I have lossed if you can you beleive that. You are so fortunate to not have a stall up till now. I bet it is very frustrating for you because you haven't had one yet. Hang on the loss will happen, don't freak if it lasts a couple weeks, mine do Anyway, I went through my closet today and things fit me that didn't before but I am not "melting" away by any means lately. I left for KC to go on trip on March 3rd and I was 228 when I left to go to it, now I am 223 to 224 today. It kills me that I haven't lost much since then... I just have to hang in there I suppose. You do the same, it will come off eventually.

Hi ladies, I am down 50.4 pounds as of today. THis week was horrible!! I only lost .6 pounds. I have been exercising and eating right but guess its just one of those things. I am being patient. I am drinking my water, getting my vitamins and laid off of the fruit, that might have been a culprit. Also, I had my cycle last week so I expected it to be a bad week but I wanted the middle of this week to be better. Oh well, guess we will have to take what happens and accept it. I will continue to be diligent with my exercise- I want to shoot for 5 days a week, so far I work out on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. I really want to work out on Tuesdays too. I take Sunday and Friday off. Good luck to you, my December buddies, we will overcome these stalls!! Angela

I had my surgery 12/6 and I have only lost 56-58 lbs depending on the day and I have stalled many a days/weeks if not went up a few lbs a few days. I'm hoping that is normal and from what I have heard most of us that had our surgeries have lost in this range. Jennifer

Hi Jennifer! Well I am glad we are close in our weight loss, that makes me feel better. However, I have not lost but 5-6 pounds in the past month so far, hoping I make up for it soon because my 3 month will be over on the 4th of April. I get kinda worried when I stall like this for weeks at a time. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Do you also stall for 3-4 weeks sometimes?

I'll be 16 weeks next week.. and I've yo-yo'd at 210 to 205 for the last 2.5 weeks. I'm ready to beat my scale with a sledge hammer. The only thing that has saved it from imminent death is the fact I now fit in 18/20 tops (XL) and size 20 pants. Otherwise there'd be some serious bashing noises coming from the restroom! I was hoping to hit 199 for my birthday on April 4th, but unless "something" happens, not sure if it's going to happen. Gonna try more walking this weekend, maybe even walk/jog, once a day, knee permitting. Also going to try to push my liquids more, I just feel waterlogged at 60oz. Have a tremendous time drinking more than that, and already talked to my PA about it. At 205, I'm down 55lbs from surgery. So, we're all about even. And I'll admit, I HATE to exercise, that's the one thing I'm looking forward to by the end of this month. Getting to bicycle around the city, instead of just walking!

I also feel the same way about the scale, its like how in the world can you NOT be going down... day after day, not its week after week. I start getting really emotional with it, do you have that sledge hammer I would love to borrow it for a day? :P I want the beat the ever living... nevermind you get the idea. You may very well still hit that for your birthday on April 4th, (happy birthday ahead of time by the way). This whole drink more water stuff, whenever I do this I weigh so much more the next day. I always get my fluids in but if I go above and beyond, like drink 80 oz it always reflects on the scale the next day, explain that one?? weird.. I must retain a lot? That bicycling sounds fun, I have been walking outside now that it is nice, but like I told my husband I guess I need to step up the exercise even more.. sigh who knows, maybe the body has just said "stop" like it did at 2 weeks post op, I lost nothing for 4 weeks, it totally went on a strike, i was sooooo freaking out. It has to be one of those times again.. It can't have stopped already. Lets keep eachother motivated, we can do this!! Hugs Melissa
