My Update Since Surgery
Well here it is 2 1/2 months out and I am doing just fine. So far I have lost 61 lbs from my highest and 51 lbs since surgery. And I already feel so much better!
Some days I have trouble getting my protein in, the drinks are terrible but I still try to drink them. I haven't been exercising like I should be within the last two week cause I have been sick with a bad cold. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things on that soon.
I have had a few sick spells where things I have ate didn't go down quite right and then it had to come back up.
Thoughts and Prayers

Melissa, you and I had surgery on the same day! 61/51 pounds is fantastic!!! I am down 41 pounds as of this morning. (66 total from a year ago) So far the only protein drink I dislike is Isopure but the Alpine Punch is tolerable and I make myself use it on days when I haven't gotten in as much protein as the dietician wants. Have you already tried the Isopure drinks? They are from GNC and a little pricey but can hang around unrefrigerated and have 40 gr. protein.
Have you read Susan Maria Leach's book 'Before and After'? Besides being a great book and inspirational, she has a lot of good recipes in it and a whole section of protein shake recipes. I don't use the same brand protein as she does but it is the same type flavor and her recipes work fine with it. This morning I had a Vermont Banana shake, very good! On work mornings I have a shake that is half Nectar Latte Cappuccino and half regular chocolate protein. It allows me to have a little coffee flavor, a hot beverage and that morning hit of protein that really helps get my early day going. I'm up at 3 a.m. and don't get to bed till around 10 p.m. so my day needs all the help it can get.
Hope you are starting to feel better from your cold. What type cold medicines can you take now? I dread getting a cold because of not being able to take as many good old nsaids and all that.
Have a good weekend!
Molly
