Exercise Group!
Happy Friday!!!!!
So, I'll start this thing off - here's to accountability, right? Anyone who wants to be a part of this support group is welcome to join!
This week:
Monday: I hit the gym for an hour and a half - treadmill and legs.
Tuesday: Felt tired and groggy, so I didn't go to the gym. I walked about a mile, though, which I know isn't enough!!
Wednesday: Hit the gym after work for about an hour and fifteen minutes - treadmill, recumbant bike, eliptical (for the first time!), and upper body.
Thursday: Nothing.
Friday: I plan on going for a walk with my sweetie.
Saturday: I plan on going on a long walk along the Cedar River.
Sunday: Most likely resting.
I guess I really need to work on not letting my husband's energy level effect mine. I've got all this energy and this urge to work-out, but I keep choosing to stay home and rest instead of just forcing myself to go workout for an hour. It's just an hour!!!
Alright... YOUR turn!

Krystal,
Ok...I have a very physical job so I count that as my Monday through Friday basics. It includes a lot of fast walking, lifting and stair climbing. I always try to work to the point of breathlessness. It must burn a fair amount of calories.
Now for actual exercise, today is the first day I've done something extra. Did the 20-minute Winsor Pilates workout followed by another ten minutes of floor exercises with my daughter. Arms and legs are rubbery now, it must have been a good workout! I think for the weekend I will stick with doing my stair stepper Sat. and Sunday. Made myself an Ipod workout file and I measure how well I'm doing by how many songs I'm able to get through. The last time I used it (a week ago) I got through five songs. Out of more than ten, that means I have quite a ways to go.
Ok...who is next?

Hi. This sounds like a great idea. I just joined the gym, but need a little extra push too. I went Monday and worked out for about an hour and a half. Did the tread mill 30 minutes, bike for 10, stair stepper 10 and then worked on the machines.
Wed. i had a balloon done where I healed too tightly so no more exercise this week. I'll try to get some walking in. Well, until next week, good luck.
Barbie
Hi Barbie,
You had a stricture? Was this your first dilation? Hope you are feeling good! I had my third one this week and am so happy to have it fixed again. This time it got stretched to 12mm and now I feel like I can really eat soft foods. Inside there are ulcers still so the gastro doctor gave me a picture of it to reinforce me taking my stomach meds. (I had stopped the Carafate since it had been feeling so good...bad move.)

Hi, Barbie!
Great job on Monday - what a rockstar! Is it just me, or is it amazing how much you can get done at the gym now?
The best of luck with your walking, but be sure to take it easy as well. My husband suggested that I do butt-clenches when I'm sitting down at work all day - maybe that's something we can all do together!
Thanks for checking-in, and take care!
