MY Lapband opinions,, I havent posted in a while....
so its about time. Ok,, Im 2 months out,, and down 38lbs. And they said this band doesnt work. Here are some observations that I have found in case there's anyone out there on the fence about the band.
1. Eat slow,, or your ass will PAY! I have had SEVERAL band whoopings, and its due to my mind not catching up(in time enough) to my band rules.
2. THANK GOD I didnt tell anyone about my surgery!!! That was huge. Now these compliments I get make my day, and I dont have to listen to peoples ignorant comments about wls.
3. Burping is a life saver. LOL,,,,, sometimes, I move in the silliest of ways, trying to get a burp up.
4. You CAN literally FEEL food going down. Boy does it feel good when it finally goes thru.
5. Protein isnt bad. In fact I look forward to my Isopure.
6. Working out is almost a necessity during my day now. I am now addicted to the feeling I have AFTER(notice I didnt say DURING) my workout.
7. Nothing fits, and I LOVE it.
8. Actually looking forward to seeing my PCP in March. Even if he does have the personality of a wet dish rag. Im going to finally get a decent reading on my blood labs.
9. This board can be wonderful. It can also be a place for opinionated, uninformed, people.
10. Where are the wls men? Not many on here to consult with. I love women to death, but topics tend to be of the feminine persuasion a lot.
11. Fighting for this band was definitely one of the best decisions I have ever made. I love my band.

Hello,
I like your top 11 countdown, very motivating!! You have done a great job. Have you posted on the Mens board? Thats where the men are (I guess). I agree with everything you said, I have some friends who have bands and they love them. I had RNY but we do have very similar experiences.
Good luck to you and keep on keepin on'
