How did this happen, exactly?!
I'm wearing size 20 (Lane Bryant) jeans!
ME!!!!!!!!
I haven't worn this size since before I met my husband, and that was over 3 1/2 years ago. I just was able to fit into size 22 jeans at Christmas, and now a new size?! I'm still coming to terms with the fact that, yes, I look smaller in the mirror and no, people aren't lying to me when they tell me they can see it in my face/arm/stomach/etc.
Is anyone else struggling with their self-esteem and accomplishments right now? I weigh myself on a couple of different scales (the gym, my bathroom, my in-law's guest room), and each one tells me something different... and it's driving me crazy!
I'm always cold now, too... anyone else feel that way? Is it the amount of body fat that we're losing, or are our hormones just messed up right now? Gr. I just keep joking with my husband that my "mukluk" is leaving!
Congrats to everyone on their success, and let's keep it going!!!!!!!!

Congrats you sexy thang!! lol Sounds wonderful! I'm actually wearing a sweater right now! I'm always freezing too..thought it was just me though! lol guess not. I'm so happy you went down into the 20s just think soon like in a week you'll be just as excited as I am about being in the "teens" I'm wearing a 16 or 18 depending on the clothes. I still keep looking at myself too thinking wow..you can tell now lol Keep up the good work!!
Krystal,
Great job on your weight loss!! Its going away and you are melting away. Thats a good thing.
Most times, you are cold just because you are losing some of your "cushion", sometimes its due to low iron. Make sure that when you get your 3 month blood work that they do a comprehensive blood workup --you may want to get your WLS surgeon and/or your PCP to order the tests, to make sure you get everything checked that needs to be checked.
I have definitely felt different temperature wise, I am not cold all the time but I used to be hot ALL THE TIME and sweating profusely when walking fromthe parking lot to the building. I used to sweat and be out of breath walking up the stairs in my house. No more, but my friend who had surgery in May is always cold-she has lost 110 pounds so far.
As far as the scale, I would get 1 for home and use that and that alone, until you go to your WLS surgeon for checkups. Any other scale is disregarded by me, I strictly use these 2 scales and track my weight loss that way.
Good luck to you, and keep us posted skinny minny.

Thanks, Angela! The scale thing is a great idea - I'm going to try my hardest to just go by the one in my bathroom, and the one at my surgeon's office.
I know what you mean about the temperature difference! I, too, was always sweating and overheated. I used to wear my sandals year-round (even in the rain) just so I could feel a little bit cooler... now, the thought of doing that actually makes me shiver! How amazing. What a gift this surgery is!
I just had a complete blood panel, and will find out the full results of it on Monday - the nurse already told me that my diabetes is in remission!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the encouragement, and the best of luck to you as well!

Grats on the size 20's, Krystal! Tomorrow is my BIG DAY.. meaning, I'm wading in to my closet and garage, pulling out all the clothes, putting on a good bra, comfortable undies, and trying on everything before the full length mirror. If it doesn't fit at least relatively close to my current shape, it's headed for the consignment shop or the Salvation Army. I'm hoping to find some dress clothes to wear to work, since my scrubs are falling off me.
I started at a 26/28.. I know I could fit a 24 jean about 3 weeks ago, but since then have lost another 10lbs.. so, I'm eyeing the 22's now.
All I know, is I look like a little kid playing dress up in my medical scrubs. It's time to find a smaller size and/or take in my current tops. There is not a prayer for my pants.. consignment shop, here they come!
