Just curious, if anyone is having a hard time getting motivated to excercise when you are tired most of the time. My husband and I we just purchaced a quality elipitical and bowflex. I can't use the bowflex yet, but I get on the elipitical. But between the fatique, on and off neausea, and the kids, it is rough!!! I think the only time I have a real chance at success is getting up 30 min before everyone else. Any suggestions are very much apprciated....Thank you, Erin

I usually have to get up before everyone just because I don't have to stop for anyone. My kids are 6 and 3 and are still wanting mommy's attention. I workout to Leslie Sansone's walking tapes and I love them. I have been doing them for years and just got a new one this weekend- the walk and jog dvd. I don't know how old your kids are but this morning I didn't feel like getting up at 5:15 to exercise so I did it tonight and asked the kids if they would like to do it with me. They had a great time. This isn't first time I have done these videos with my kids but they did have fun with this one. I can't wait til it warms up to get outside with those kiddos!! I want to get on our trampoline I have never been on!! Good luck to you. Kristina

Erin, thank you so much for posting this very honest question. A lot of us struggle getting motivated to exercise. It is a whole new way of life and so far, not really pleasant. I try to use the bathroom scale as my motivation because I know that the scale will move better the following week if I exercise at least three times. Now that I am back to work, it is easier to stay moving since my job is very physical. Today I had a real revelation: I was walking my normally very fast pace but realized that it was EASIER!!! There wasn't the usual huffing and puffing and I sure don't sweat at all like I did pre-op. At 9 weeks post-op I can finally say that I have more energy. Finally! Seemed like I was going to be exhausted forever so you hang in there, you'll get your energy back one of these days soon. Molly

I have had a couple of days when I was tired, but when I get enough protien (40-55grams) I feel fine. I was drinking 1 isopure a day and that has 40 grams. Now I am able to eat fish. I also try to make sure I get in my vitamins. I work out about 4 times a week right now. I walk 1-2 miles and take my 6 year old with me. I have also been doing arm weights at home 3lbs at first and now up to 5 lbs. My husband likes to work out so he is a pain. The last two times I went walking for 1 mi I jogged half. I can tell that I have less cellulite on my legs and butt. So even when I just don't feel like it, I remember that I don't want saggy skin!
