letter to insurance

Hi Did anyone need to submit a letter to their insurance company stating why you or your physician felt the need for WLS? I have a friend who is in the begining stages and needs such a letter. If you have one or suggestions please feel free to email me. Thanks

Can check on the Insurance Help forum, if you don't get a reply here. I'm sure there are tons of letters to that extent that have had to be written.

I didnt have to do a letter. My surgeons office did everything for me but I have a book, Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies and it had samples of letters. Angela
