I need Stage 4 diet ideas
Not sure if you can handle the spicy food yet..but for me I love the chile verde..it's so good. I make it myself but we've been out to eat it at restaurants too. The pork is so cooked it falls apart and the chile makes it nice and moist Hope that helps too. For me I also love soups..not the ones out of the can but the nice yummy home made types or the ones from Olive Garden or places like that..with the broth mmmm Good luck and I'm curious to see what people suggest too
Good ole green chilie stew...I love it!!
Scrambled eggs w/cheese and salsa, tuna salad, got me through most of my time...Also I watched the food channel allot and I can't wait to try some of the food only small amounts...I am now 8 weeks out and for about a week now does it seem like I have hunger pains...usually means I need more liquid...but good luck...don't stress too much it will pass before you know it...
I'm seven weeks out too, by my calculations. I am eating crock pot chicken thighs, chili, lots of cottage cheese with SF applesauce, some veggies, although broccoli made me heave Friday night, scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa, refried beans, broiled shrimp, mainly anything except bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, sugar, corn. I got some whole grain bread and may try 1/2 slice toasted crisply with tuna salad or egg salad but unless food is pretty mushy or saucy it just doesn't appeal to me. Trying to get my protein up some, added Profect today. In the AM I drink a hot de-caf mixture with vanilla protein powder and that gets me 30g then the Profect is 25g so adding egg and cottage cheese I should be up in the 70g range. I am still NOT hungry. If I feel hungry when I take a drink of water it goes away so I think I'm mistaking thirst for hunger most times. I haven't done much fruit yet. Have been very afraid of any sugars. Have not dumped and don't want to.
I have decided not to eat SF ice cream or candy. It would be too easy for me to get really fixated on them and eat too much. I mostly eat what I know won't hurt me and in very small amounts.
Hugs and love
