Pain issues

Hey all. I went to my Dr. about all the pain when I drink. He thought it may be a stricture so I was admitted to the hospital to have a scope done, plus I was extremely dehydrated and malnurished. They scoped me that night but I was kept for 3 days to rehydrate. Turns out I have no stricture but i do have an ulcer at mu connection site. It still hurts ungodly when I drink water but I am gonna hafta live through the pain till it heals. I guess all in all it is best to go to the Dr. when it hurts. Just wanted to let you know in case anyone else has the pain. Peace 2 ya's Sabrina

Sabrina, How terrible that you had to be in the hospital again! But...it is a very good thing you were able to get to the doctor and got an answer to what the problem was. Are you feeling better now that you are re-hydrated? They have me on Prevacid and Carafate for my ulcers on the anastamosis and it really helps the pain. Are you on meds to heal your ulcer? Plus, my pouch feels much better when I drink my juice and water mixture than just plain water. Do you notice anything like that? Don't know why...maybe it is just in my head but it does like the blend better. Sure hope you will be able to manage the pain till it heals. Get well soon! Molly
