I had my surgery Dec 11th. I am down about 35 pounds from my highest weight. I have had some stalls here and there for a few days to a week or so. I have not needed to change my clothes sizes or anything.

Delana, I had my surgery on Dec. 1st and am down about 41 pounds since then and a couple of pants sizes and down one shirt size. I'm having my first stall now at about 6 weeks. It's not fun. You've done very well! Congrats! dawn

My surgery was 19-Dec. I have lost 24.5 pounds so far. I am fitting in to lots of clothes that have not fit me for a while. The jeans that I wore to the hospital, I can take them off with out unfastening them. I have already lost 5 inches off my waist.

My surgery was Dec. 15th and I'm down 33 lbs. since then. I am still wearing the same old clothes, but they're VERY baggy! I just need to take time to go thru my closets, cause I know I have various sizes in there. I just can't get over how much better I feel. I have much more energy. The only thing kinda weird to me is the fact that I'm having so many DREAMS - every nite! I used to NEVER dream, or if I did - they weren't anything that I would remember when I woke up the next morning. These aren't bad dreams, just really vivid, life-like dreams. Anyone else notice they're dreaming more now than pre-op?

I dream all the time now, too!! How crazy is that? I used to dream, pre-op, but never on the scale that I am now. Maybe we're sleeping better...? Congrats on the 33 pounds!

Mine was on Dec 13th. Last time I weighed (have to weigh tomorrow ) I was down 33lbs from my highest weight. woohoo!! I'm proud and so happy for everyone who has lost..it's sooo nice isn't it! I see some of you have lost a lot of inches or went down in clothes sizes. Me on the other hand amd kinda like you Delana..I've lost and my clothes fit differently but nothing really drastic like they just fall off yet maybe in time lol Maybe because I'm short???

I had my surgery done on 12/19/06 and so far I have lost 33 pounds, if you add the 15 pounds I had to lose before my surgery could take place I am down a total of 48 pounds. I fell that it should be moving a lot faster, I lost 20 the first week after surgery and the rest slowly since then. I have gone from a 48" to 46" in my pant and as for shirts they are a lot roomier then before. My issue is that I need to be on the treadmill everyday... Mike

Mike, I did almost the exact same thing! Pre-op, I lost 46 pounds (in 15 months), with 20 of those in the last two months before surgery. I've lost 25 pounds since my surgery date on 12/26. I, too, had this crazy (read: ANNOYING) plateau. I lost 20 pounds in that first week post-op, but then didn't lose anything again until I got on the treadmill. I hit the gym on Monday and checked my weight yesterday, Tuesday, and had lost 4 pounds! YAY! Here's to our will power and determination!

Hi! I had the Open RNY on December 5th. Since then I have lost 31lbs. While this is a great deal of weight, I feel like I should be losing more. I am at a stall now. I have not lost anything for the last 2 weeks. My clothes all still fit, a little loose, but nothing drastic. I work in the Operating Room and have to wear scrubs and I have gone down 2 sizes there. I started at a XXXl and am now down to an XL. I have talked to several others and they say it is better to lose slow than fast...because of the sagging skin issue. I also know that you can lose inches and not weight which is still wonderful. I know we all feel discouraged at times...I am right now, but I have to keep thinking positive and know that I will lose more! Congrats on what you have accomplished thus far.
