How often are you eating?
My doctor and nut's. schedule is for six feedings a day, each one 1-2 oz from the puree list. No liquids half hour before and after a feeding. I get hungry too and if it is really bothering me then I have a can of low-sodium broth. It is from their free list and makes my pouch happy. There is no way I could do with only three meals a day, I get too hungry and on only 2 tablespoons of food I'd go nutz! My stricture is closing up again and now I'm back to more liquidy puree, can't wait to get stretched again on Monday. It will be a relief to eat more solid type puree, that really helps with the hunger.

It's amazing how different all our doctors are. I have been released to soft foods such as eggs, yogurt, deli chicken and turkey, string cheese and several others since one week out of my surgery. I am only supposed to eat three meals a day with protein drinks and water only in between. I have only gotten hungry once when I was on broth and jello and once the other day.
Monday I get to add creamy peanut butter, black beans, certain vegetables and fruits. I am so ready for that.
I am a little scared though, even though I have lost 32 pounds in a month, because supposedly my pouch is supposed to be 2 ounces but I can eat a whole 6 ounce yogurt. I hope it just goes on through and I hope that my pouch hasn't stretched. Even though I can eat a cheese stick and be full or a few slices of deli turkey at other times.
I was told to drink the protein drinks in between meals to help curb any hunger pains. But sometimes I don't even get hungry in between breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner without the protein drink. It can be different everyday.
Good luck to you!
Hi Mizdeva,
Well I am on soft protiens, and my dr/nut instructed me to eat 3 meals a day with a protien shake, most of the time I follow it, but sometimes I have a snack. A yougurt, sf pudding and sf coolwhip. I have really been struggling with my protien intake, and they said we can't have milk or soy milk. I am making things with soy milk(unsweetned). It seams everyone has a difftrent diet they are on. I go to my 1 month class on Wed, and then we can start cooked veggies and fruit. I ate a couple of cooked carrots today and felt fine. I really don't get hunger pains, but a feeling of emptiness, and I know it's time to eat something. Best of luck!!!!!
