I'm having a hard time after eating because I have a pain in my chest like a hurting gas bubble and so I belch to release the air and I (excuse me, but I'm a little cncerned), have spit that comes back up? Does anyone else have this problem?

Sorry is this is gross, but many times you will wake up and have a "full" feeling because all night long your sinuses have been draining into your stomach. Normally with a full size stomach it is not noticable, but with our tiny pouch it is very noticable. The first thing I do each morning after I take my prevacid is have some warm decaf tea, to help that move through.

Barb, I do that quite often when I eat something on the solid side, too fast. Slowing it down really helps. And I know they say not to drink with meals, but sometimes a swallow or two of something liquid helps moisten the food.

hi barb.... i'm a year and a half out, and this hardly ever happens anymore!! It's sometthing we like to call "the foamies" or "jellyfish".... it's the funny way that things digest for us with our new pouch. If you eat too much, or too fast, you will get that feeling you describe. SLOW DOWN!! It won't hurt to just it up and start over! Better than the pain... Lori
