Full Liquids 1 more week need variety
Any suggestions? I had Lap RNY on 12/21 and am on full liquids until after I see the surgeon on 1/5. I have already had just about as much soup as I can handle. I have turned to Skim milk and Sugar free pudding, but I have no imagination and unless something is pointed out to me in black and white, I don't know what else to try. If anyone has any things they enjoyed eating it would be so appreciated. Thanks, Maryann
I got some advice on here about eating the broth to different kinds of fat free/low fat soups. Like tortilla soup. Boy was that good! I am really tired of the liquid diet too. I had surgery on 12/20 and will be on this diet until 1/9. I'm just trying to get through it the best way I can. Good luck and keep me posted!

Oh gosh me too, I am quickly growing tired of the liquids. I had surgery on 19-Dec and go for my follow-up on 4-Jan.
One thing I did Christmas day was take a couple of tablespooons of mashed potatoes and thinned them with milk. That was really tastey. Tonight my family had homemade Chicken Minestrone Ragu that was frozen ahead of time. I just had some broth from that.
I love Tortilla soup! I will try that one day soon.
That is so funny. My sister's boyfriend made some kind of mashed potatoes, I think they were supposed to be like twiced baked but he didn't know what he was doing so they were just in a big pan and runny. While my sister was complaining to him about them being runny and bland, I was thanking him and telling him how wonderful he was to make something just for me. I thinned them a little more and it was a great treat.

I am in the same boat myself- full iquids until 1/7 then pureed , then soft , then regular!!!
I never thought I would be a whiner. But I am in the middle of breakdown. We had company over and they are eating all of my favorites and it just seems like tooooooo much. I just started to cry as they ate and I opened a can of soup.. I walked out of the room and logged onto obesity help.
Its hard to focus on the big picture when the here and now are staring you in the face.
Favorite thing has been PROTEIN PARFAIT-
Strawberry Kiwi ( Nectar brand protein powder)
blended with 3 frozen peaches, 1/2 cup of OJ
Once it is blended pour into two cups and freeze into semi solid
once frozen mix with sugar free jello and sugar free whip cream
layer into cup or bowl and enjoy!
MY OTHER FAVORITES HAVE BEEN LIME POPSICLES , TAPIOCA PUDDING
and I'm doing Designer Whey from Trader Jo's and a protein drink that tastes like cinnamon rolls that I got at Vitamin Shoppe. I think I can go out to restaurants that have good soups and bring a strainer for some good broth. But I must admit, I am not hungry or thirsty much. Pudding and yogurt and jello are keeping me pretty happy at home.
