At home and very sleepy
I am home. I had surgery on Tuesday. It seems like a long time ago. I am not doing good with my pain pills. I have to cut them in half, so I am not getting the whole effects of them. I am doing good over all. Drinking, sipping, very hard. I am not doing well in that department either. My surgeon said that my surgery was textbook. I guess that's a good thing. I need to do some walking. So here I go to do laps around the living room.

Good for you! You didnt get any liquid pain meds?? I got Lortab and it worked wonders. Made me sleepy all the time though. I am now 2 weeks out (12/8) and feeling good enough to get out into the stores and do some walking around.
Almost back to 100% but I have to make sure to take it easy and get some rest too since i am not completely healed yet.
I start soft foods tomorrow and soooo excited, liquids were getting kind of boring.
Good luck to you and take care.

I just had my surgery Dec. 18 and I am sleepy too. I have the liquid meds and have been doing great. Today is the first day I haven't taken any paid meds so I am happy about that. I am still a little lightheaded though. I thought I might be getting dehydrated so I started drinking more water. It is hard for me to get that in. I am a little down in the dumps today watching my family eat but I know that in time I will get to eat normal foods again. I knew this was going to happen so I am okay with it. Just like my psychologist said if you know that there is going to be a detour on the highway your driving, it will be easier than not knowing and it happen by surprise. If that makes since. So anyway I know this time will go and it will be easier soon.
