surgery cancelled

Today so far has been an absolute bummer. Show up to Barix, all ready to go. I get weighed in and they show that I gained 15 lbs from the PAT. I NEVER GOT WEIGHED IN AT THE PATS. I was 5 lbs above where I started at the consultation. The pre-opp guy said that was strange and we go on getting the iv and everything. Just waiting for Dr. Brader to sign off on the surgery. He comes and tells me that bc I gained 15 lbs in 2 weeks the surgery was cancelled - I straight out told him that I was never weighed in at the PATs. He goes to talk to the office manager - long story short, I am still 5 lbs above where I started at the consultation and my surgery was cancelled. So now I need to lose 10 lbs and they are going to get me re-approved for the surgery and another date set up. There really aren't words to describe my disapointment.

I'm sorry, I am confused. I had the surgery because I needed to loose weight. Why would they cancel if they say you gained weight?

Dear Kerry, I am so sorry to hear about your day. I honestly can't believe that they would cancel surgery because of 10 lbs. I hope you can get the surgery soon! Joanne

Kerry, your news breaks my heart. I got a warning like that from my surgeon and ended up losing 4 pounds before surgery. I'll keep you im my prayers to get your surgery rescheduled fast. Hang in there and keep after them. Molly
