Less then 24 hrs to go!!!

Okay still not getting nervous or scared just trying to make sure I have everything done at home that needs to be beofre the morning. I have to be at the hospital at 6am and can't wait to be on the losing side!

Kim- WOOOHOOO See you on the other side! I was a mess the couple days before. I went through all the what if's... Thank God everything is great so far. I'm 5 days post op. The pain was sooo bad the first couple days. Now it's getting better but still hurts like hell. I didn't have anything really to compare it to, but it's worse than my c-sections that's for sure. Try to get lots of rest. I did stuff up until really late..you know getting everything ready and I slept really good the night before..not really sure how but I did. My husband was great and helped me with everything. Congrats to you for doing the surgery and keep us posted..I'll save you a nice seat on the losers bench with me Becky

I don't know about you but it is so hard for me to believe that the big day is finally here. I started to look at this surgery back in 2005, even made a consultation with the surgeon in dec 2005 and cancelled it to try one more diet plan. Then had my consultation in June, the struggle with the insurance company to get approved and then waiting for a date....I just keep saying to myself that in a week from today I'll be done and out of the hospital. Kim, I wasnt nervous either, I was joking around until they put me out. I had LAP-RNY and didnt really have any pain...the nurses told me to use my morphine pump more! The first week was hard for me, because of the nausea. But, this week has been great. Im sure you will do great and I wish you luck. Courtney
