strange concern?

my surgery is scheduled for dec 6th and my only concern is about what i am going to look like. I mean I've been heavy my whole life so to think of possibly being i want to say skinny but i know i won't be it's just weird. My Fiance is more then supportive of this hell he's buying me a video game console so i have something to do while recovering. I am happy about this i just don't know if its a strange concern or not. Hi Malary! I don't think you have a strange concern. I have often wondered what I will think about my self and the way I look after my surgery. I am having surgery on Dec. 13th. I think it is a normal thing for us to think about. We don't know anything else but, being BIG. So, it will be something new for us. I know everyone is telling me about the extra skin. That is what I am wondering about. But, I think with excersice I should be able to help with that and then I will have P.S. if I need to remove any extra that I don't need. You just need to do what is best for you and stay true to yourself!!! Enjoy the change that is going to happen! I hope the best for you on your surgery. Be happy!!! This is going to be a good change for you!!! I do have to say that I am jealous.... I am a single mother of 2 boys and I don't have some to doot after me.... He sounds like a keeper!!! Good luck!!! Hi Mal, I think your concern is completely normal, especially for those of us who have been obese our whole life. We don't know what we will look like, so that unknown can be both fascinating and scary at the same time. In six months to year you'll finally know what you'll look like. At least you'll have something to keep your busy during your recovery!!! Good Luck, Joanne
