December 14th is my surgery date!!!!!! Need input

Im so excited - and so looking forward to starting my new life. Rushing around now trying to get all my Christmas shopping done so I have nothing to worry about after surgery. Putting up all my decorations tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone can give me some input on how I will feel the first week after surgery once Im home. Im having laproscopic gastric bypass. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi J Welcome to the board and congrats on getting your surgery date. The first week you will be trying to get in all your liquids and some protein and will be walking short distance all throughout the day. You will probably be sipping on something all day long, getting your pouch used to the new way of eating. Good Luck Joanne

Thanks for the input. I see your surgery date is scheduled for December 4th - thats the day I turn 40! I was hoping to have my surgery before my 40th birthday - but it just didnt work out. Good luck with your surgery and keep in touch!

Hi and congratulations on the date! Unfortunately, I don't have any advice as I am still pre-op, also. My surgery date is 12/6 and I jus****ed to let you know I hope all goes great! Many prayers will be going up for you!
