December 5 Surgery

Anyone else having surgery December 5? I just got my date, and can hardly believe it is only 3 weeks away - yikes, so much to do, so little time. Wrapping up stuff at work, getting Christmas stuff done at home, etc. I'd love to hear what sort of surgery prep y'all are doing - yes, I'm a list maker and want to make sure I don't forget anything. Hi Janie, I am having my surgery on Dec 5th. I am excited but also scared. How do you feel about the surgery? My daughter had lap rny in Feb 06 and looks fantastic. I hope I do as well as she is doing. Good Luck to you. Jakki

Hi Jane, I am Dec. 5th also and yes lots to do. I have been shopping like crazy trying to get Christmas gifts and we actually put the tree up on Saturday (I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet) but I have to get everything in order before the surgery. Also buying things I will need here after the surgery (ordered protein, vitamins). I will be bouncing off the walls trying to get things ready!!! Stephanie

I know how you all feel.. I am also having surgery on Dec 5th.. I was thinking of putting up my tree also.. But my husband says its way to early.. So i think i will put it up on Thanksgiving or maybe the day after, of course after i get home from all of those sales... I am so excited, i already have all of my vitamins and also bought some new jammies to go home in and some new slippers.. Im pretty much ready to go, I still have lots of housecleaning to do!! Yuck!! It almost feels like i am nesting, getting ready for a new baby or something..lol..Good luck to everyone and i hope we all have a uneventfull surgery and fast healing. God Bless you all!! Christina

Janie: I just found out today that I'm having my Open on December 5th. Less than 3 weeks away! I'm excited - next will be scared. I'm lucky, my kids are in their twenties so they can put up the Christmas Tree for me after I come home. I have to do my pre-op stuff the Wednesday before my surgery and everything else is all set. I've been working on all of this stuff for over 6 months - hopefully everything will be smooth sailing. Keep in touch and don't stress out - that's not going to help. Peggy
