I got my date!!!!!

I got my surgery date last week.....Dcember 20. I am so hyped!!! My family has mixed feelings about it being right before the holidays b/c I always take care of everybody, but they'll be OK!!!!

Juane, Congratulations on getting your date! So for one year your family will have to take care of themselves, next year you'll be ready for anything. Welcome to the board Joanne

Congratulations! Two days after me! My family is a little worried about the holidays, too. As long as I am home for Christmas, I'll be ok. Bridget

Hi Juane, I am just a day after you. Let's recupe together. Here's hoping our families come thru for us. I haven't told mine yet - just my friends. I have all my 'tests' on 11/27. Do you have a bunch coming up? nancy

Congrats Juane! Your date is the same as mine!!! I know what you mean about Christmas. Last year on Dec 21, my daughter had WLS and I brought her home from the hospital on Christmas Day. It just didn't feel like Christmas. This year my surgery will be on the 20th so I hope I get to come home on Christmas Eve. Regardless, this is the best Christmas gift I could give to myself and my family. I am bummed because in the past I would shop till I dropped on the day after Thanksgiving with one of my sisters. This year I can not go. My health has really gone downhill this past year, but lookout next year!!!! You mentioned that you always take care of everybody. I do the same thing, but this time we need the TLC and we deserve it!!!!!Take care and keep in touch. See you on the loosers bench! Karen
