My surgery is the same date. I'm also scared to death! Go to the main messageboard, there are a lot of people that can help with your questions. I'm still new to this board. Good luck and see you on the losers side!!

Hi Jaimie, Welcome to the board. As far buying new clothes, I wouldn't do it. You'll be going through sizes really quickly. I personally went on craigslist and found people selling clothes really cheaply, and in varying sizes. You can also go to the Goodwill or any other places where you won't have to spend so much money. Good Luck!!! Joanne

I told my husband that I think I should go to goodwill after having my surgery on Dec 4, 2006. Instead of buying things new and wasting allot of money while going through this jorney of weight loss. He thinks I am crazy. I just think I would be bettre off going that route instead of buying expensive clothes then wear them for 2 weeks that would tick me off. Good Luck everyone, I hope to talk to yall when I get on the other side of my surgery:thumsup: Brenda

Hi Jaimie, Congratulations...THREE WEEKS!!! I've been pursuing this for five years and can't believe how quickly time is passing now. Of course, some days are slower than others. You and I are on the same date, too, and I'd hold off buying very much clothing. I already have two smaller sizes of jeans that I'd saved as my weight fluctuated over the last few years but didn't save any underwear so I did buy a pack of smaller ones cause I hate baggie drawers! Does your surgeon have a local support group? The one here has so many nice people in it and it seems fairly regularly people will announce they have clothes to give away and after the meeting we go to the parking lot to 'shop' each others trunks. I can't wait till I can join the giving list! Congratulations to you and good luck! Molly
