It's a GO!!

WOW!! December 4th is fast approaching and I finally have clearance from EVERY one of my docs. You see, I had open heart by-pass surgery in 2000 and I'm SCARED! I know that this is the best thing I've done for myself in many years. Somehow even heart surgery didn't seem to do the trick in the "this weight has to come off" department. I spent a lot of time contemplating what my 11 yr old daughter's life would be like if I weren't here to guide her and what the quality of my own life has been and would be if I didn't do something drastic. So now I'm quite comfortable with the upcoming surgery and my new life to follow. I hope to do great things in the future. Perhaps even work with patients who are considering surgery for weight loss or even some other method of weight loss. I've yet to make any connections with anyone on this website, but I know I will & soon. I've sent messages to a few folks who seemed to need moral support and someone will do the same for me (I hope ) God Be With All of You, Phyllis

Hi Phyllis, I am also having RNY. My surgery is scheduled for 19-Dec. I have two sons, 11 and 12 years old. I think you all are right, we will all be moral support for each other.
