Sharon, I feel for you. I suffered terribly with plantar fascitis both pre-op and post-op. I've finally lost enough weight that it has disappeared. Here's a prayer that yours will disappear, too. Sherry 259/171/130

7 month anniversary today! Day of surgery: 269. Weight today: 196. Total loss: 73lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tons of inches as well. Went from a size 26/28 to a size 16/18 (depending on the clothing). I can take stairs at a run without panting- working out is alot easier now- cardio especially. I don't have to strategically position my face in pictures to hide my chins! I don't obsess about food every minute of every day. I can keep up with my kids now- I can fit places- booths, amusement park rides you name it! I'm small! Whoooooooooooo!

Hi!!! I am 49 years YOUNG, 5'9" (I've grown and Inch since surgery?)..starting weight was 248. I had my surgery on the 30th of December and wore a size 20. I had a WOW day today. I went shopping to by some clothes that would fit, because all the 14's I bought in May are bagging. I figured down 1 size, so I took several pairs of size 12 jeans to the dressing room to try on and they were ALL too big! I'm in a size 8!!! I bought two pairs of jeans, a pair of Guess and a pair of Ralph Lauren Size 8, from TJ MAX for 20.00 bucks a peice..double WOW. I seen the same Ralph Lauren Jeans for 83.oo at the mall~~ I am happy as can be, but a little worried too, because I am at a perfect weight for my height. I'm at 155 now and not even half way to the end of the "Honeymoon" stage. I'm eating well..and eating more than ever, but seems the more I eat the more I lose! Does anyone else have this problem?

Happy anniversary everyone! Sherry, your post made me realize I don't think I have weighed 130 lbs since Junior High School!!! My husband asked me the other day how long since I had weighed this little, and I really had to stop and think. I don't have an offical goal weight from my dr, but have decided on 154 - that's the first weight where my BMI will officially read "normal." Wouldn't that be cool? 130 would be sooooo skinny for us!!! Speaking of: Has anyone called you skinny yet? How do you handle that? I have one person at work that says things like - you need to quit losing, you're getting too skinny. I know it's all relative and compared to where I was I could be called skinny, but my immediate reaction is to say: skinny? I still weigh 177 lbs! There's a real mindset that I haven't gotten a handle on yet... Lisa

Congrats Petty!!! 120 lbs is so awesome - I am pretty sure you are leading our group - at least one of the leaders - in total weight loss! And you are always upbeat and inspiring - thanks for posting! Pat, don't get discouraged (easier said than done, I know!). I had a 6 week stall in April - May at 195 and then have dropped 20 lbs in about 6 weeks since it broke. There's no rhyme or reason to some of this, I swear. Keep eating!!! We all have a tendency to slow down on our eating because it seems counterintuitive to eat more when we're not losing, but I swear it helps to eat your several small meals a day. And 83 lbs is nothing to shake a stick at (don't know what that means exactly - my grandmother used to always say that!). Anyway, be glad you have lost more than 1/4 of yourself and will continue to be successful. Yeah us! Everyone is doing great - keep it up! Lisa

I have found that I like to run. Pre-op, I thought that runners were a little off and my big joke when I would see a runner was, "what's his problem", as if to say that they were crazy for running. On Thursday, I am signing up for the 2007 Disney World marathon. What has been your biggest surprise? Take care Scott
