My texture has turned to dry and coarse. Used to be silky - ahhhhhh those were the days. Yep, I'm too scared to color too! But you know what? I'm sorry for whining- people are dealing with much worse and this is the only complication I've had

Mine has slowed but it is still falling. The texture has changed also. Go figure that one out. I am too scared to color. Afraid my scalp would be blonde and my hair would all be in the sink instead of on my head

Hey sibs, Well, I'm still losing hair. My six month labs came back low on zinc and iron- so I'm supplementing for both now. I've upped my protein. I take biotin. My physician's assistant told me that for some, cutting their hair shorter helps with the loss. I did that too. I'm thinking of shaving the dog for some implants next. But what I'm wondering is... Has anyone colored their hair at this stage in the game? I'm desperate to rid myself of the mousy color but scared to death that it'll add to the hair loss. My surgeon says that honestly, they don't really know concretely what causes the hair loss- could be so many things together...

You go girl! I felt sad for you when I read that post but you know what? You've turned it around and have managed to inspire me too!

Your story is my story so I guess we aren't all that odd. I had my surgery Oct 9, 05 and have lost 94 pounds. I haven't lost any weight since June. I feel a lot better knowing someone else is with me. I did take a look at my pre-op picture and feel a little better. What to do, what to do?

I can understand the way you feel. I had my surgery on Oct 9, 05 and have lost 94 pounds but nothing since June. I really miss the way I was feeling when I was losing. I took a look at my picture of pre-op and feel much better. Have you tried that?

I will definitely do that. Thanks for the tip! Yes, I think it's getting harder every day, but I still BELIEVE that we will make it. At first it's a marathon, but in the end, slow and steady wins the race. I stayed in the 170s for eight weeks! The longest ever in a 10 pound weight bracket. I was discouraged some, but just kept looking at others' successes. If we do what we know we are supposed to do, we will succeed! This morning I hit 168.5 and I am so thankful. I just hope it doesn't take as long to get to the 150s. But, if it does, I still believe I'm going to get there! We all will! Blessings, Sherry 259/168.5/130

Hello everyone... For some reason I'm totally re-obsessed with this website since I've been back from my honeymoon.. trying to get re-focused.. trying to re-believe that I can make it down to that pant size that I dream about. Perhaps this 8 months-out time period is just a hard time in the whole WLS process because our weight loss slows and our pouches accept more and more.. and then we doubt doubt doubt.. even though we all are pretty much rocking this thing.. Anyhoo.. I just went and read the August 2005 message board and I'm so encouraged by their posts and anniversary lamentations. The whole thing has really whipped my mind back into shape.. and boy did it need whipping!! Anyhoohoo.. I hope everyone here is doing well.. April R
