I started eating carbs....to hold where I am. I am not eating more just the wrong things. You really have to watch the carb thing. Once one is in your mouth you want more and more.

I had surgery in December 12/16/05 I started at 286.5 and am currently at 168.0.. its so hard to believe that number... I started at size 26-28 everything and am now wearing my 13 year olds size 5/6 skirts and med tops. its wonderful.. I feel so great i can eat what I want (to a certain point) I do not crave any more... (MUCH) I just feel great and my relationship with my Husband has never been better! I thank god daily for the opportunity to have had this life changing surgery and cant wait for all my tomorrows.. (((HUGS))) Dori

Hi There! Same here! I'm below goal 5 lbs. I don't want to lose anymore, but I said that 5 lbs ago. Really, I was happy at 170lbs and looked better, I think.. I'm not sure what to do about this, except try and start eating more and that's hard to do! I eat about 1400 cal a day already and I feel like I'm eating all the time as it is! What I do know..My surgeon told me that we have a bounce back up in our weight of about 15-20 lbs at about 18 months..BUT, I'm only 9 months out! I don't want to keep losing for another 9 months!! I go back to see my surgeon in December, a scheduled appt, but if I continue to lose I'll call and ask to see him sooner. I heard someone say to start drinking with your meals..but I don't want to make that a habit, cause if I do ever start up on the scale..this habit of waiting an hour or so to drink, after a meal will be hard to start again.. I think I will just continue to try to eat more, and maybe add some more simple carbs to my diet..bread and pasta..you know tho'.? When I eat those things..I can't eat but a bite or two and feel like I want to YAK! So even that might not work.. Lets just wait and see..we are not that far under goal..YET! Good luck, and best wishes, Janet

Hey guys, Well, I finally made to goal! YEAH!!! I've gone from a size 22 to a wonderful size 6! My highest weight was 252 lbs. With that, I had a ton of health problems from Reflux induced Asthma and ulcers to Sleep Apnea and severe joint pain. Today, I weigh 136 lbs and I feel great! The only pills I pop these days are my vitamins and a few tylenol every once in a while. But now what? Does the weight loss just stop and level off? Do I have to change the way I eat? I only expected to lose 75% of my excess weight, but now that I've lost over 100% I worry that I might have started something I can't stop. Any info you can give would be great. Thanks!

I have two pairs of jeans and one pair of kaki pants. The jeans are totally basic, and the kaki pants are normal style with a additional zipper on each thigh (kinda on the side). I also have a size 20-22 black bathing suit. I got it off ebay for $30, it has one of those skirts that hide the thighs! I only wore it once, and now its time to go!!! I will pay for shipping so if your interested let me know!

Girl I really need to be in 12 step program for patterns and fabrics. They would put me out. You know how people book mark important stuff on their computers. My book mark favorites are Vogue, Simpilicity, McCalls and my favorite BUTTERICK. I have real patterns from the 40s, 50s and 60s. They are too old to be used but I flat out refuse to let them go. I also read the measurements from back than. Todays 8 is yesterdays 4. And we won't talk about the fabric I have.....I am using a lot of it now since I have changed sizes so oftern. I am more stable now and think when I fit a perfect 14 pattern I'll try to hold there. I don't want to be yesterdays or todays size 2. I am on both fabric stores mailing list. I read there sales over and over and won't glance at the grocery stores sales at all. I have so many buttons that if we were ever attacked I wouldn't need any bullets. Just hit them with my buttons but I am keeping all the red ones. I'm dead . You know I feel pretty good for 56. A whole lot better than I felt at 46! Thats really a wake up call the weight needed to come off.
