Topic: UPDATE
I got my bloodwork back and all is ok, i guess the tiredness is just from too much running around, not enough sleep and probably menopause!!! Thanks for all your replies. The pains have also subsided now. Joanne

Yup. I'm right there with you. The weight is going down over the long term still, but when I weigh often (yeah, yeah, I know we're not supposed to...), I see it go up and down a lot.

I walked on Saturday. It was a lot more fun than I thought it would be (but then, I hung out with the stragglers in the back and didn't really work up a sweat -lol - it was on purpose though. I helped plan the thing and wanted to make sure those at the end were ok) Luckily we didn't have 90 degree weather. The sun was out but there was a slight coastal fog too, so that kept it cool.

Hi Joanne, I am 10 mos. out and have noticed that when I do eat more carbs than protein I lack the kind of energy that I had before i started including carbs into my diet again. I started at 217 and now weigh 131 with 6 lbs. til goal. I have tons of energy which I attirbute to walking a lot and eating protein. Good luck to you with menopause -- I am post-menopausal and hated every moment of that stage of my life -- hot flashes, irritability, etc. I do get a B-12 shot every 6 weeks which seems to help a little. Keep up the good work!

Joanne, So sorry to hear you are having a problem - hope this helps. I started having energy problems and back pains and found out it was ulcers. Sounds sort of like what you are going through. As far as that time of life, a very good book to read is "Hormone Hell to Hormone Well" by by C. W., Jr., M.D. Randolph and Genie James. Getting on a bioidentical hormone regimen has saved me from hotflashes and all the other little problems that come with menapause. Good luck! Diona

Topic: INFO NEEDED
Hi everyone, I am just over 9 months post op and have been doing gr8 so far, lost 92lb and almost at goal (10 to go) and up until a couple weeks ago i had so much energy, but lately its slowing down, i am just so tired all the time, i drink all the liquids, i take in all the protein and fruits/veggies, and ALL of my vitamins including sub-lingual B12. I also excersise every day, which is mostly walking and some other stuff. I did have my bloodwork checked a couple days ago to see if my iron's down, so still waiting to hear on that. I am also finding lately that sometimes when i breathe i am getting a kind of cramping sensation, i know this can happen a lot after the food gets stuck, but its also happening when it doesn't. I know your all probably thinking TELL THE DOCTOR RIGHT NOW, and i am planning on doing that a.s.a.p. but i just wanted some imput to see if anyone else is going thru the same ordeal or similar at this stage of the program or any stage for that matter. Also for all u POST MENOPAUSE OR GOING THRU MENOPAUSE WOMEN, could it be that? I have just started that lovely phase in my life. I am looking forward to all the info i can get from all my OH friends. Thank you so much. Joanne

I'm so glad you mentioned this.. I thought I was going crazy.. hehe Needless to say.. the up and down part is unnerving.. and the not knowing when it's going to stop or whether it has already stopped or not stopped is so much fun to deal with as well.. good times!!! hehe Things have considerably slowed down for me.. I have had this loosing pattern for the last 3 months.. blahh My Nut upped my calories last week to 1200 and so far so good.. I haven't gained all my weight back.. hehe it's scary to up the calories.. I feel like I'm eating all day.. but I do feel so much more energetic. My Nut said that my under-1000 cal intake was probably why I was on the ultimate stall. Who the heck knows.. so glad that I'm not alone in this madness April R

Did you walk today? I didn't walk. I was there with my Obesity T shirt and to give my support for the real walkers. I didn't realize so many people know me. I am good with faces and bad with names. They raised money and even bid on our nut to dance and she did. We had a ball. It was 90 but the Gulf breeze worked it.

Topic: What is your 'losing style' at 9- 10 mos. out?
Hi y'all, My recent change in losing patterns has prompted me to wonder how all my December sibs weight loss has changed at this stage in the game. It seems like now I lose a pound then go back up a pound, sometimes two, then back down a pound and then back up- then back down - you get the jist of it. I'm still losing between 4-6 lbs a month and am ecstatic but now instead of it being steady drops I seem to dance around the same losses for days! Anyone else experiencing this?
